Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

It'd be nice though, right?[/color][/b]

It´ll be perfect.

Also, hope you have more opportunities in the future to meet Jordan and of course be a part of his "privileges" as he was "lucky" enough to be at something so big for the game and all of us.

Now you know what to do...ask him for his phone number man!! ;)

Formal presentations begin at 4pm BST (Silverstone time). Not sure if I will be able to live blog this now due to embargo restrictions but I will find out for sure later.

I did confirm we will be getting hands on time with a game, so I will be trying to get footage for you guys.

GT6's platform is still the big secret here. :D
Oh how I would love to be a loose thread on your suit Jordan. Enjoy and safe journey home.

Unfortunately I can't be at Silverstone - unbelievably, Jordan and I have never met, despite me writing a book for him and him publishing a book for me  - and I've not actually given him my phone number yet. Must do that. So the below is simply musing I've been exchanging with friends and none of it comes from Jordan - who's currently mingling in London

[Famine reality]
The online experience of the PS3 has been harmed recently and it's brought forward Sony's plans for the PS4 - probably to be launched early Q2 2014. But GT6 will beat it to market and rather than delaying the game, they're going to launch it twice...

It'll come to market first for the PS3 in November/December. PS3GT6 will be GT5 part 2. We know what to expect and what to not expect from this - more cars, probably a majority of which (or a totality of which) will be Premium, more tracks and a rejigged offline game are certain, livery editors and video uploads are probably out.

It'll also come to market as a PS4 launch title. PS4GT6 will be PS3GT6 turned up to eleven - essentially the same basic game but with the livery editor and video upload functions included. Available as standalone at full price or upgrade from PS3GT6 at discount, the two platforms will be able to play each other online through PSN, ensuring PS4 has an already thriving, active Gran Turismo community at launch through the PS3 game.

*sigh*

Thats awesome. I hope this is true. Well except for livery editor bit

It´ll be perfect.
And it'd mean everyone who decided which platform it was on would be wrong :D

I've been lucky enough to be invited to Silverstone a few times for GT Academy events through GTPlanet - and I've met and interviewed Kazunori Yamauchi in Cologne, which wouldn't have been possible without the help of some of GTPlanet's own members. I've no doubt that if this weren't so tightly controlled and packed enough that they've turned down entire print publications from attending that this third-party fansite would get a second invite.

We're just waiting on a phonecall from Fukuoka to invite the pair of us over to discuss writing the official GT6 book, given how good our unofficial one is...

That needs to happen, if something is good it has to be on par with the GT series.

Imagine the game packed with a printed copy of it. Like those Special Editions (GTPedia included) or even in the Signature Editions (which I got)...in this case something special for the anniversary...

Sounds good, right? 👍

I made a tweet predicting what I believed would happen, not that I genuinely expect this.

#15YearsOfGT Predictions: GT6 is PSV, PS3 and PS4. GT:Academy 2013 is standalone PSN title, E3 for full unveil.

Well, actually I'm one of those who thinks that GT6 will get something like a Prologue on PS3 and the full version on PS4.

I'm also thinking that some of the PS3 games which will come out this year, will get an enhanced PS4 port. We'll see. :)

Sorry for any confusion regarding the embargo, guys. It will lift by 5pm BST (Silverstone time) Wednesday, so you'll know everything by then. I just can't confirm 100% yet if I will be able to live-blog the event or not. I may not know for sure until I arrive at Silverstone, which will be around 2-3pm BST, but I think it will be impossible for them to control with so many journalists on Twitter in the room (over 80 media representatives from around the world are attending). Of course, I will work to have the full details up on GTPlanet's blog as quickly as possible.

I have also confirmed I will get time with Kazunori in a small group setting for Q&A after the big presentation.

From what I've heard so far, let's just say a lot of questions which have plagued GT fans for so long will finally be laid to rest. 👍

Thanks Jordan, like the wait wasn't hard enough. :D

Oh yes. Hope that one referred to the ENGINE SOUNDS could be clarified as well. lol

Can't wait! Thank you very much Jordan, hope everything for you goes well. This is really exciting. :D

Perfect! I hope you enjoy the event and learn all kinds of answers to questions that have been pondering Gran Turismo fans minds... I've never seen PD as an under-par developer, perhaps a little bad luck programming GT5, but overall I see an excellent future ahead, backed by some of the automotive industries finest companies.

Should make for a great day tomorrow.

We'll always remember we knew you when...

Great news, can't wait to see what's next for the GT series.

Was slightly disappointed with GT5 as some were, but in my opinion GT2 outdone GT1 and GT4 was miles better than GT3 so going by my logic GT6 will be the GT game that i have been waiting for since GT4.

Really hope it's for PS3, i've neglected my PS3 for over 6 months now but with The Last of Us and now hopefully GT6 i'll be getting my gaming back on!:)

Roll on 4pm tomorrow!

Isn't there a track day event planned at Silverstone tomorrow with the GT Academy winners and cars on display etc? What time is that on?

Ok, logic says: GT6 is coming, ps4 is coming...porsche is not coming on ps3.
But on PS4 its a new platform...new opportunities. .

Wait, what? The license doesn't depend on the system that GT is on....

~EDIT~

The platform, sadly, has nothing to do with Porsche's inclusion.

Forgot what this feels like. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day :D
