Try disabling/deleting music playlist > not just turning music volume off/O volume in sound menu (later, just turns volume off , but music is still streaming/reading from bR in background)
Go into > garage > gallery > music > playlists and delete playlist for "race music". Doing this will disable music(streaming) , so if problem is in your blu-ray drive getting wear off, it may help.
Mine also does this on arcade/time trial and garage/free runThese seem like a different problem from my freezing, mine is limited solely to restarting seasonal events too quickly after going off track, it feels very much like a network issue as it ceases when the system is offline.
Use thé méthode @@Churni discribes. It's helping out a lot!

I had thé same issue and I had to format my PS3. Make sure you update as follows to prevent issues. After you have completely updated disconnect your PS3 from the net!
Are you 100% sure that it'll work for anyone with a GT6 problem? because I'm having a lot of trouble with gt6, it's been about a couple of months now and it's getting really annoying.Try to disconnect your PS3 from the internet so that it runs completely offline. Haven't had a single crash since.

I'm going to use your way another day, I don't want to spent my life downloading all the updates again. it took me the whole afternoon, it finished around 2:00 in the morning. haha100% sure I cannot say of course but for me it solved the issues and GT6 is running fine. However I didn't do any restore on m'y PS3. After thé format I rebuild from scratch with only savegames restored afterwards.
If you go this route be sure of the conséquences it has for you. Make sûre youhave a full backup!
1. I backupped my PS3
2. I went in to the PS3 Safe Mode Menu
3. Reformatted the system (factory default)
4. Followed the steps I discribed in my previous post.
* I did not restore any data from my backup yet! So it's a clean PS3 with solely GT6. After all updates were installed I placed back only my GT6 savegame. Since then I have not had a single issue with freezing or crashing. My PS3 is also still disconnected from the net while playing GT6.
For the rest I chose to redownload any purchase I made on PSN.
Hi, I would ask you if you could try to connect your PS3 online and start GT6 to see if everything is fine but I don't want it to ruin all you've done to make it run correctly.Hi Powerslide77,
I only play Offline and I noticed the game runs smoother.
The purchases I have made within PSN are connected to my account so I can redownload them whenever I want. There is no additional charge. Furthermore I don't own that many downloads or have that many things installed on my PS3. It's not a machine packed with huge amounts of content.
For what GT6 is concerned: I made a backup of my savegame to a USB disc and after reinstalling and running the GT6 tutorial race I overwrote the new savegame with my backupped one. No issues at all.
i will tryHow about changing the video resolution to 720p instead of 1080p?
