This is my first look on GT6.
First of all i always loved GT-games, but this is the first time i didn't wait for the next game in the serie. After start racing on 'Iracing' i dropped GT5, F1series, and other racing games. They couldn't satisfy me anymore. I Always have been a fan of the serie and i was a bit curious but my expectations weren't to high for this one. sadly this game has the same problems as GT5:
Cons: I few big ones and a lot of little ones
- Still Rubberband AI
- Dangerous slow AI in braking
- If the AI are faster(rarely) they intend to run over u.
- I like just driving around in career mode, but becaus of bad AI there is no need to play this game, If i want to race online i still prefer iracing.
- Still no proper hood view
- Still Standard cars/blacked out cockpits
- Still no races in the game? (yet again you start from the back in a rolling starts were u have to drive to the lead in a few laps) This is not racing.
- Considering the amount of cars in the game there are still not enough championships or racesin career mode to use them.
- Still: Often when you overtake a car the AI intend to leave a gap whit you.
- The track looks pretty dark when using cocpit view.
- Still no rear mirror for the hood/roof ca view
- When you start the game you have to run 1 lap on the short verion of brandshatch, They try to learn diving you. Like no GT-fan knows how to do it. besides what point does it have if they keep interrupt your driving.
- still glitches in shadows, and bad looking smoke.
- Weak replays, to much close ups
- I am not far in the game but i have no doubt there are not much "races" above 10 laps apart from a few endurances.
- Why not start career race whit 16 cars? Only 6 cars is this GT1?
Pro:
- Ofcourse The graphics are still good
- For a 'game' the driving is nice
- The AI actually try to defend there position, sometimes even on a dirty way. they somtimes close the door just infront of you or even when you are side by side (however this does not make up for the AI cons)
- Always have been a fan of the menu's in the GT series. Yet again it looks nice, I really like what they have done. Also the menu's are faster and easy to use.
- Again its nice to look at cars and collect...cars.
