Well, the Gran Turismo Skyline pace car that debuted in GT4 is also just a stock R34 Skyline with lights and a special livery. Not to be confused with the non-pace one, which has the livery, but with 541 horsepower and no lights. I don't think pace cars are usually mechanically different from their production counterparts.

Would be true except for the fact its actually based on the M4 M Performance Edition (which last I checked isn't in the game).

Its a tuned version using all of the Aero parts from BMW's M Performance line. The car we're getting is basically the Pace car from Moto GP (sans the Moto GP logos).

To an extent, although the parts we will be able to add to the base model will actually be more then just what you see on this car (except the LED Grille Lights and Roof bar).
Also its not the only thing we're getting in the next update, just happens to be the first known thing we're getting in the next update.
