I feel like the Purosangue is unique enough to be worth adding, just due to being the only V12 and having more interesting proportions. They should definitely get to stuff like the 812 Superfast first though, but I'd bet the Purosangue would be a more worthy addition than the DBX or Cayenne.
The thing is say about the Cayenne is that it was the first truly performance SUV from a performance manufacturer. It essentially created the luxury/performance SUV market (and saved the company)

Not SUV but the Ferrari FF is unique with the 4WD system, V12 and almost a shooting brake version or the 599

The Cayenne is a badge engineered VW Tuareg as most people hopefully know.

That's not quite how it is, they share the same chassis but engines, dynamics/chassis are Porsche. Having driven them back to back they are very different cars dynamically.
The Jimny is an off-roader though, so it’s probably safe to assume that no SUVs were harmed during its creation.
It's a small engined off roader and if I was going to pick an off roader the Range Rover sport or even Vitara (for the small engine category) probably fits better. And as SWB off roader the dihatsu four/sports track or shogun pinn ticks more of the boxes.

Um, sorry If i missed it, but what are the scheduled PS5 Pro enhancements? All I can find are articles saying that it runs better without the patch. What is the patch supposed to add?

encapsulates all the prowess of a Super-SUV.
Oh, you mean a Land Rover Defender ?

This might be a weird question but, is the word "Escort" censored in the PlayStation Chat Filter? That might be a problem if I want to replicate the Ford Escort Rally Car '98 from GT4 when the Ford Escort RS Cosworth in the teaser photo does get added.

Wait and see....

Let's hope they don't release the Daihatsu Naked or Dodge Dart Swinger ;)

It does, I learned when I tried making the FIAGTC variation livery for the Focus Gr.B.

there's a noticeable fanbase split - Western accounts ask for GT3s/Le Mans cars a lot, whereas Japanese accounts seem to most want more city cars and low-end '90s JDMs (think Toyota Altezzas and Honda CR-Xs, stuff that was good starter car material in GT2).

This 'split' is likely caused by different cultures. But that is not a bad thing, this 'split'. Different audiences mean we do and likely will continue to see different types of cars. From track toys to grocery grabbers, there is room in GT7 for all.

Well, if I had to choose a side, I'd definitely stick with my fellow Japanese. I always catch myself eye rolling when I read the same "where are my updated GT3s?" over and over. Altezzas and CR-Xs all the way.

The Japanese got it right then. The original GT was almost exclusively a JDM game, and sometimes I get the feeling that many people don’t appreciate that.

Feels like the western (specifically US?) broader gaming audience wants the game to be more like other racing games. And the Japanese audience understands what the series was and expects it to be that way.

I'm on the eastern side. I'd rather have a game like GTR/2, GT Legends, or AC Competizione, that's dedicated to "traditional" or professional racing and with gameplay structured as such. Except make one or two good games instead of splitting different classes and eras of racing across 8 different games where none of them live up to their potential. And then let Gran Turismo be Gran Turismo and focus on what it does best.

Same. And besides, I make my own Gr.4 & 3 cars with street cars and consider those GT RM modifications when they're done. Just need visible weight reduction, ability to swap steering wheels and seats and add a MoTeC display and/or custom gauges like in GT6, and it'd be complete. One could wish that happens in GT8.. :D
There seems to be quite a split in GTPlanet also. 🤭 Anyways - I think this split / preference comes down to how you play the game. If one plays single player races or random lobbys, they really like to have as many tuneable street cars as possible. And I do like this also - it is Gran Turismo after all. But if one is like me who has played almost exclusively sportmode since GT Sport, it's understandable random streetcars seem indifferent to you, as you are not going to use them anywhere. It seems to be very hard for PDI to make these bop street car packs as the one we just saw in daily A. New tracks and race cars are more useful in that sense to anyone using GT7 as racing "sim" or esports. Ofcource new race cars dont help if we continue to have NSX or Huracan single make races in gr.4/gr.2. Gr3 is actually quite diverse now, as more people just understand the qualifying meta car might not be the meta for the race. For this the change to car specific qualifying times would bring some life to grid in different strategies. Does one take the Q meta and start from the top of the grid or opt for more race pace and exhange it for few spots in the grid?
