Kaz is also at the Shanghai International Circuit for the F1 race it seems. Putting the tweet in a spoiler tab for those who missed Sprint Qualifying:

And while I'm here, have a Renault Kangoo Dakar, ran by the famous Schlesser Buggy team.

Twitter has suggest the one on the right left is the Nissan March but others have suggested it’s the Aston AM1

VXR
That's mostly how it looks to me, although not quite getting Yaris from the left one.

Would really like it to be those three cars though, back catalogue GT4 stuff is always appreciated.
On other thread it was pointed that the car at the left is a Renault Kangoo

The Trekka version was quite highly regarded when it came out as truly useful 4x4 lifestyle vehicle. And given this was around the time of Renault and Nissan partnering up and sharing engines a perfect candidate for the GTR engine swap. Iirc at the time you could have a Renault Espace with a version of the 3.5 350z engine

Considering that in this topic we can speculate with all our fantasy...
...a new GTWS season is coming...
...with March we reached the third year of GT7...

---------> New Track that will be also used for the GTWS... so the best drivers can compete on who is the best on "short notice"!

Kaz is in Shanghai 😂😂😂

...and then the New Track arrived... :D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

The cars they're bringing in lately would give GT8 an absolute banger of a starter car lineup. If they keep it up it's going to really feel like the old games, where your first car could really feasibly be a choice of something you drive or see on the road regularly.
I had this thought as well, but it's also been 15 years since they've given us a choice of more than three starter cars.

It'd be cool, you're right, but I'll believe an open start is part of PD's modern game design ethos when I see it and not before.

Mazda - Expected, surprised it took this long though.
Aston - Nice, but I'm in the minority; I don't care too much about it.
Renault - Certainly is a very GT-like car to add.

Now about selling them engines, Kaz...

Dang. Didn’t give me time to finish predicting. Would have never picked the Renault anyway.

The car on the right, is that a Grand Prix form the nineties?

Just now seeing the news. Kangoo is big here in Australia too. Not as customised as Japan though. That’s cool.

Oh well, I guess that means we’re building our own GT4 cars now. First the AMG GT R. Then Audi R8 ‘16 and now new Vantage. I’ll make it work.

Hope CX-30 is 2.5 T engine as skyactive X from Mazda 3 is uninspiring, Kangoo is quite a surprise but I would like that we have got one or two of Renault's great hot hatches as a hommage to shutting down of Renault Sport models (Twingo RS, Clio RS 200, Clio Williams, R26.R, Meg RS300 Ultime), but it is what it is, one more month of free update to fill time until GT8 arrives, as those cars are just to fill the gaps, and I think real gems are being kept for GT8 launch.

Yamauchi already said that this wasn't the case a couple of years back, but additionally the car content pipeline is running at pretty much a constant rate since the first GT Sport update. Even when cars were no longer being added to Sport, the number of new ones that arrived at GT7's launch was entirely consistent with that rate.

Peugeot 205 wants to have a word 😄

Haha, I like 205 a lot and I was wanting that car in the game since GT5 days, but I was thinking about some cars that are currently popular and that would atract wide audience to drive their car ingame like: MX-5 NB, MX-5 NC, Fiesta ST, Golf R and GTI mk5 or mk6, and missing generations of Impreza's...not to mention Audi RS models, or super saloons.

Here's all I ask of this update - The last two have been bereft enough that they've had to advertise "3 race events!" as a big part of the updates:

I don't really mind what it is - track, layout, new feature, QoL, Sport Mode changes, removing the invite mechanic, more music rallies, whatever - just please have something exciting enough that it's at least worth putting in the headline.

Interesting choice of cars, if it's a Kangoo I hope it's the first generation before the facelift. We had a burgundy Kangoo Euroline 1.6 100HP from 2003, it was actually quite fun to drive , with its low weight and short gears. I imagine the top speed was a modest 160/180 km/h though.

It's nice that another Aston Martin is coming to the game 🤩. But as for the third car, I don't know what to say. I can't complain about it at least
