Having an issue related to the customizable transmissions in the Ford GT Race Car 18' where the transmission only has 1 gear.

I am having the same issue and am also wondering if there is a fix

So,really curious to know,does your Porsche squeak?
I bought the gold/black/white 911 RSR(991)'17 from Brand central,and every time i shift up it squeaks,it also squeaks sometimes when i'm at full throttle and lift completely off the gas,and sometimes it just squeaks for no reason at all.
There is no squeak down shifting.
I'd also like to know if anyone has the black/red/white version from Brand central, does it squeak when shifting up?
It didn't do it in GTS.
And no it's not my paddle shifter,using G29-PS 5.
It's loud enough to be annoying and just want to know if anyone else has this issue.

I was in a Deep Forest daily race lobby and I was about to get ready to race.....
but right now I'm stuck on a black screen. I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes.

So, been a long time follower of this website for so many years and my first post is one with such a weird issue in GT7. Last night I suspended the IA Final Exam license test to resume it today. I finally got the gold in that AMG Mercedes and the game crashes. Multiple resets and reinstalls later, the game still crashes when I enter the license test area. Even when I enter a race and finish the game crashes.

I chatted with Sony today and explained the situation and they were not able to identify the issue so I was offered a refund for the game. Even my PS4 version kept crashing when I tried to enter the license test area. By the time my refund was issued, I lost my game license so now I can’t play. The bigger question is if I buy the retail disc version of the game, what happens then? Sony was not able to comment. I’ve spent 21 hours playing and it feels like it was all for naught.

The server stores save data, chances are if it stored you getting/or not getting the license, is entirely dependent on what the game tokd you last time you played.

The GT7 website claim I got the gold in that license test. I just don’t know what version of the game to repurchase as I previously bought the 25th Anniversary Edition.

I passed the Super License test with a time of 2:23.373 and shows I got the Gold Trophy but the all gold with the car cover is not checked and I did not receive the bonus car. Anyone else have this happen?

No, the more you play, the more bugs you see. That's normal.

The only thing broken since this update is rally events with bad tires

The weather radar works in the 1.05, now dont work anymore.
Lots of people get crashes when they win a car, others cannot go to the license test, i get weird sound stage from the engine in a 7.1 system and in the 1.05 sounds correctly

I've had that problem when I tried to replace the transmission with an adjustable racing transmission. It messed up the PP rating, too, bringing down to 207.

Beautiful game. It will be great when some of these problems are fixed.

This is wild. How in the world does this stuff pass QA. I’m glad I got my money back but I still want to play the game. I feel like I’ll walk right back into the same issues after repurchasing.

It's funny, I remember reviews mentioning how refreshingly bug-free it was in the prerelease code, and that matches my experience with v1.05 and earlier. 1.06 is disastrous and should never have been released.

Over 30 years of gaming and playing GT since its inception I’ve never run into a situation like this where I literally can’t do anything worth anything in a game. These things got too technical for their own good. It’s kind of bad to see that not even Sony knows what’s going on and what sort of timetable there is to fix. Very disappointing after waiting so long to play. And the game is good!

That error code is often, but not always, a hardware problem.

I was getting it on 16x9 race photos and they fixed it. I've also fixed it by following this advice...

I can only tell you from personal experience with GT Sport.

I originally bought a disc copy of GT Sport on launch (EU version), after a year I bought an asian Digital edition on sale on the Hong Kong store (totally different region from mine,I got annoyed at keeping the GT disc in my console24/7). Even though it was a Hong Kong version of the game, my save game on the GT Sport server recognised my PSN profile, all my cars in the garage, my Driver rating, missions etc, were all in tact.

Then last year, I got really annoyed at creating liveries and having to press Circle as a selection button constantly, and I bought a US Digital GT Sport copy as it was on sale. (different region from me again) and once again, everything stayed in tact.

So I'm guessing it's the same with GT7. No matter which version you buy, your save data will be in tact.

The bigger issue is why you had that problem to begin with?

Is it a HDD error? A general console problem?
Because even if you bought a disc version, the actual disc does not get read to play the game. The data is still stored on the HDD. So if it's an HDD issue, you will have the same error again.

Someone mentioned GT7 looks worse than GTSport. I’m thinking they are correct. Somehow, an hour ago, my graphics look like PS2. I’m using a PS4 slim. When I watch a replay and switch cars, the screen goes black for a second. It had gone black, for more than a few seconds yesterday, but the graphics looked fine.

I e taken screen shots of liveries and they look fantastic. However, my game play looks pixelated. Nothing changed on my tv settings or PS4 display settings.

Thank you for your reply. It is odd that the same issue results on both the PS4 Pro and PS5. The only commonality is the progress that is on Polyphony/Sony’s servers. I wonder if another 25th AE will be a waste with my progress still apparently on the website. The last thing I want is for me to start over again. Sony claims that once my license is deactivated I lose the progress, but I do still have that file uploaded by PS Plus.

...since I was gringing a bit for money, there is strange bug here and there occurring when deriving dirt tracks that DualSense controller looses main vibration (restarting game returns function), tirgers work, haptics work... Using mostly Audi S1 on 97.5k track

...I know it was mentioned already, but are reduced particles (dust, smoke, water behind cars) a bug or is it part of PDi's "optimization" of game?

Jimini Cricket. the jagginess was crazy. I just grabbed my tv remote. Went to settings and just randomly changed Picture Mode from Game to Vivid and it looks perfect now. That couldn’t have been the issue. Had it set to Game since GT Sport. Set it back to Game and it’s still perfect. I have no idea.

Has anyone here managed to resolve the issue of error CE-108255-1? I can't progress in the game at all. This error has been happening after I finished the second race of the Petit Course de France. I play on PS5.

1. The slipstream challenge in the RX7 FC, the wind direction stops you getting even close to the gold speed & slip streaming doesnt seem to work right.
2. The International A licence 3 with the rally car, the car is equipped with Sports Hard tyres & you cant get gold, the car in the demonstration video has Dirt tyres & is clearly handling & responding to the steering 100% better.
3. The game lets you put wide or offset wheels on a car that hasnt had body widening & it has the effect of you not being able to steer round some bends, how about not allowing it without widened arches or a warning before you fit them?
4. Cant view other players car stats or kick anyone in online Lobbies.
5. The AI doesnt just seem to not respond to you & just force you off the road, they also seem to deliberately swipe you off the road too.

6. No indication of when the second hand cars will refresh & even if you buy one, its still available.
7. I loved the Nurburgring Tourist layout, it was a good place to hang out & do laps for fun, why isnt it here?
8. In a cutscene at the cafe they showed a rendered 1970s Skyline GT-R, is that thing in the game or what?

1. I couldn't work out why it was impossible. Took me a few times exiting to be able to get what appeared to be a favourable wind direction combined with the perfect rhythm of movement, without accidentally being touched by any of the cars on rails.
2. This is on the 'Known Issues' part of the GT7 news section on their site and in game.
5. It's doing this for me in 'The Pass' and some other missions - seems the AI in those are set to stick to a rigid path. It's annoying that it's impossible to pass some of them without them touching/ramming you. In some races they are more aggressive or make mistakes.
6. It happens every day at midnight in my timezone (00:00 UTC), and usually for the last day a car is available it moves to 'limited stock' (though for some like legends it can be 2 days limited) before moving to sold out for a day then replaced by something new. The cycle seems to be around 5 days for most cars to stick around, and while they're available you can buy as many as you like. Everyone globally gets the same used car dealer (with a couple extra depending on what cafe menu you're on), sort of like how in GT Sport everyone got the same Mileage Exchange.
Leading into 8. There are several cars therefore that have not been available to anyone yet. The 1970 Skyline will show up most likely in the legend car dealer, though maybe a slim chance in used cars, eventually. You use it in the last of the second set of missions (using fuel restrictors to do a lap with very little fuel) so it's definitely in the game. Every model shown in those cafe cutscenes is in the game.

No. This is what is getting me. I bit the bullet and repurchased the game again only to find that error is still persisting. It’s so unfortunate.

If you're referring to the error where the game crashes every time you should acquire a car (which seems to be initially triggered by receiving a prize car), I don't believe anyone has a solution. But it's interesting that you note that it also happens from the standard races. The rest of us on here that I've seen have seemingly only encountered it after License Test/Mission rewards.

It's a massive problem and what's frustrating is that PD hasn't acknowledged it yet in the known issues post, unlike the dirt tires bug for example.

Here's a great one. Tuned up a GR Yaris a bit and decided to do some laps around WS Horse Thief and after the 3-2-1 countdown, nothing happens. It's like my G29 stopped working, won't steer at all and the shift paddles don't work. I paused the game, then unpaused and now it works.

I completed the final IB license test and got a CE-34878-0 error. And now whenever I try to enter the license tests section the game crashes with the same error - PS4 pro version

edit - from what I have tried, it seems like every other area of the game is working. I can enter the garage or start a race etc. Don't want to play more though incase this account is permamently ruined xD

Yeah I tried doing all those and the error still occurs, it looks like it is caused by getting a new car whether it is from buying them or being awarded from a prize based on what others have said in response to me who seem to have the same error (the game is probably still trying to award the IB prize cars and i have since found out that even trying to buy a car it crashes 100% of the time).

CE-34878-0 seems to be a pretty generic error code so finding a solution when it first happened was pretty hard, especially because the same code was displayed for the crashes that happened when streaming before the recent patch so that pretty much was all i could find online.

The sony rep i chatted with said that they will escalate the case so i am hoping (fingers crossed) that it will be looked at. Just a shame that there seems to be no way to directly contact PD, like some kind of official bug report submission as i always assumed that the playstation support reps were more directed towards hardware or playstation network related issues and not the games themselves and the only advice they could give me was to do the stuff you mentioned.
