Gran Turismo 7 Bug Reports

Is it just me or has the Tyre Wear rate greatly increased since today's update?
Prior to today's update I could do the Watkins Glen WTC 800 on 1 set of Hard tyres...today they were around 75% worn after just 5 laps!
I would guess that what they have done with - Adjusted the simulation for tyre heat generation and wear ratio - has almost doubled the tyre wear ratio.
I think it's just the bars are filling properly now. Before you would have almost no traction below around 70%...

It seems corrected now, I guess.

Have done a bit of testing and they are definitely wearing around twice as quickly...have also seen a lot of people online comment on this.

From what I could see, the display shows that they wear more quickly, but they provide decent grip practically to the end. So, you can basically run them until they are completely worn, but at about 1 (pixel-)bar left, they are suddenly gone completely and you can only limp to the pits.

But the cliff also comes earlier, e.g. at the 1hr Spa race, suddenly the tyres were the limiting factor for stint length, not the fuel.

that would make sense if I wasn't now having to pit to change tyres in a race where I previously didn't have to.

Yeah, I did notice the accelerated tire wear too. I successfully did a no-stop strategy in the Laguna Seca WTC700 with my Megane Trophy. Despite the accelerated wear, I was still managing to set fastest laps over and over until close to the very end when I had to protect the hard tires. I still won by nearly a minute.

I guess you have full grip until the tires are about a pixel away from oblivion.

I just did my go-to grind race, the WTC 700 at Le Mans (30 mins) and couldn't believe how fast the tyre wear rate is now.

I did manage to eek out 3 laps on RH tyres, but only by driving much more carefully to avoid tyre wear, and even then there's no way RH tyres could last more than 3 laps now.

Wait - didn't they just just update the tire model last update and it appeared mediums and softs lasted a little longer? Now they reversed course majorly?

There is something wrong with the tire wear on the Le Mans LP700 Race i had with my BMW M3´03/Z4 Engine almost no Tire degradation, it was around 10% after 7 Laps and now after 3 Laps it was around 50% for the Fronts and 60% at the Rears.
And the strangstest thing the i switched to the Inters after a light Rain the Track was 50/55% Wet and the Inters had almost no Tire wear in the first Lap after the Stop in Lap 2 with the Inters on a almost dry Track(15% Wet) was the Tire wear at the End of the Race around 10%

Exactly what we have been discussing...they have updated the tyre wear algorithm and how the wear levels are displayed.

They've fixed the weather radar issue, only to create another one which is much more infuriating.
I think that the tyre wear rates are much closer to real now, they weren't wearing enough before.

Take the 1hr Spa race. I was able to eke out a 9 lap stint before the tyres were run down. The race has 8x tyre wear. So the 9 laps means the hard tyres would have lasted 72 laps or more than 2.5 hours on 1x tyre wear. That sounds about accurate. Usually they have 1 hour stints in GT3, sometimes double-stints on 1 set of tyres.

I think there is a miscommunication...what used to look like 70% felt like your tires were dead and now what looks like 70% means you still have tire life.

The bar is now a tire life meter and as you uise your tires, it goes down.....

The last mission in "The Sun Also Rises" (Bathurst Gr3 Battle) is impossible to complete now: the RH tires are dead by lap 6 and the car gets nearly uncontrollable in corners. Pit stop/tire change is not intended in this mission. So I think I will have to wait until they fix this... :-/

However, this somehow proves that tires wear faster now than before 1.20.

Is Catalunya bugged on acceleration? So I’ve done a race on both the rally cross track and the no chicane to find that the throttle would randomly get stuck at half way, or at 3/4 and not go any faster. I had to come of the gas completely, and as I got back on the gas it would return to normally.
I thought it was my pedals but I tried Watkins Glen and Lake Mag and I didn’t have this issue. Obviously I will try more track and see what happens, and also I was playing on my PS4 Pro, but I will also try the same race at Catalunya on my PS5.

the mp4/4 cockpit cam isn't fixed to the car when turning left. looks like the whole cockpit is moving.
(ps4 / default orientation / wobbling type 1)

edit: added yt link and more/beter info

Tyre wear has certainly increased. Pre-update I could do the WTC800 at Watkins Glen without stopping, now have to pit around lap 7 for tyres...same at the WTC 800 as Sardegna, I could do on 1 stop and now have to do 3 stops.

I found a bug:

In Custom Races, you can no longer adjust the 'Rolling Start Interval' and it defaults to the minimum of 15m, which leads to each race starting with a nose-to-tail train of cars...

Not sure if this is happening to anyone else ,but I bought the Dior De Tomaso. It does not show the blue book icon to show I’ve bought it however the MP4 does see pic .

I tried it several times but, as you describe, this race is impossible. Today i wanted to complete all missions... -_-
They should release an hotfix for that.
This is a no go!

The brake zone aid-
I've mentioned this before that this it's not coming on and showing when it should and it's now evident in Daily Race A. After lap one when you come down the main straight, the right hand turn it will not show when you are going full speed, if you slow down for the tiny L/H kink then it will show but too late. Drivers tend to overshoot and slide off .

The 69 GTO has a automatic interior 3 speed) but has manual 4 speed transmission gearing.

This is not a bug, it just so happens that the '69 GTO that they used to digitally scan for the game was an automatic. The Plymouth Superbird has the same issue, it is an automatic when you view it in cockpit view also. It is also because the only car that PD could get to digitally scan was an automatic, I thought it was funny when I saw the column shift in cockpit view and my driver would not touch it but gears would shift...

I was playing at the Schwarzwald League and then I realized that the clock in the car completes 1 minute in almost 3 seconds. I don't know if this is a bug

It's no bug. Time is accelerated in many races, so the clock reflects your 'race time'.

Fwiw Anti-Lag is still turned off for the SSS when BoP is on :(
That's not a bug, it's a feature. The SSS should have turbo lag, it's part of the fun!
