Welp, I just did the new races in the same order using different cars for each one and only Nurburgring registered as being completed.

Seems like it's completely random whether the game breaks or not.

Hope there's a Christmas hotfix next week. 1.27 came packed with more bugs than features.

Hmm, only the Ferrari and Celica in time trial on other tracks. This would have been the first time I've touched Monza or Bathurst in months.

This PS4 freeze has got to be fixed, this was last night during daily race C...



(Please ignore the 3.5 sec penalty, I hit a slow Gr.C car in the curves, couldn't avoid)

I don't want to be conspiracy theory guy, but, what if this is a deliberate test to see how long PS4 owners will put up with the bug, before just going out there and buying a PS5 to fix the problem? (Sony forcing Polyphony Digital to introduce planned obsolescence)

I was actually considering buying a PS5 a couple of weeks ago, until I saw that all the PS5s here in Toronto were sold out at Walmart, Gamestop and Best Buy and were all on Facebook Marketplace going for 800 to 1000 CDN, the scalpers knew there would be desperate people out there needing one for Christmas and will be willing to dish out the cash.
But since a lot of people are short on cash this year, at least the prices the scalpers are asking are not crazy pandemic prices. The retail prices seem to be around 650 CDN, so with taxes you would be paying about 750 I think, not too far off what scalpers are currently asking.
When I saw those prices, trying to see if I could resolve the freeze issue by purchasing an SSD to replace my HDD seemed a much better choice, in the end it didn't fix the issue.

Still too much for me, I will continue to wait until a PS5 costs 400 CDN, but by then, Sony will probably be announcing their PS6. GT7 is the only game on PS5 that I'm interested in playing. Any other game that I might be interested is only a timed exclusive that will eventually come out on PC, I don't mind waiting 8 months to a year for them to release on Steam, I don't mind waiting a bit more to get them on a sale.

Just wish they would have released GT7 on PC, the mod community would have patched this crap long time ago. Looking how Sony are going things, GT7 might be the last GT game I'll play.

I wonder if driving the Ferrari VGT (as opposed to simply getting into the Ferrari without taking it out on the track) is what is causing this particular version of the bug.

Wake me up when this PS4 freezing issue is fixed. I've bled DR all week in daily race C, a race I can compete in. Last race froze on me 4 times on the last lap, and I dropped from 4th to 10th in the process. Done for now.

I get freezes too but not that much, I am sticking it out, not quitting

I got a bunch of freezes in the DRWF lobby tonight as well. It's just so frustrating. No sense playing (for me) until this is fixed, as much as I want to! (edit PS4 issue)

@jrbabbitt and @afc5150 , can I ask you two a question? Are you by any chance using a Fanatec wheel?
When I first started having the freezing issue, I brought it up on reddit in the granturismo page and someone told me that they noticed the freezing and when asking around, they said everyone who experienced the freezing had a Fanatec wheel. I ignored it but I am using a fanatec wheel. I have the DD GT wheel that Fanatec developed with Polyphony for GT7.

If you two have Fanatec wheels, maybe try to play the game with a controller and disconnect the wheel? It's kinda late here so I am going to bed but I'm going to try it tomorrow, it would be funny if the bug is the game doing random Anti-cheat/DRM checks with the chip inside the Fanatec Wheel bases, and it causing lagging issues to verify if it's Sony approved equipment.

At this point I'm willing trying anything.

So I turned on my PS4 with my Fanatec Wheelbase disconnected, started GT7 and played it for about 1 hr with just the controller, not 1 single freeze.

BUT!!! I turned on my PC, checked if there was new Fanatec Firmware for the wheelbase, and nothing..................

I left a message at the Fanatec Forums in the hopes that the Fanatec staff sees it and releases a firmware update, or contacts Polyphony Digital and tells them to get their **** together if the problem is on their end, my 2 cents is that it is Polyphony Digital's fault as the current wheelbase firmware was working just fine with update 1.25 and prior.

Same for me too. Monza and mount panorama didnt count my victories there.

Good to see im not the only with these bugs, for me the Nurburgring and Mount Panorama do not count the victory. Monza did, with the Ferrari VGT. On PS5. Hopefully the developers see this to and bring a quick fix.

I'm a controller user and get a freeze every so often but not as many as 4 In a single race

Couple bugs to report.

- Ferrari F12 and La Ferrari have the exact same start up noise in the garage. Not sure if this is intended or a bug.

- When you redline the tachometer on the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, the needle glitches out like crazy. Could just be an issue on my end but it was definitely noticeable when driving.

The needle was glitching out on my Alfa Giulia too, just noticed it now.

I noticed the RPM gauge on the XJ13 ticks instead of moving smoothly, much like the alpine A220.
That cant be how the real thing works can it?

circuit experience bug

I'm seeing this bug in circuit experience since couple of weeks, but I haven't been touching circuit experience in a while, so I don't know for sure when it started.... For sure it was working ok before When the experience starts, no matter if it's a full lap or a section, everything is OK...

Black screen appeared, a Daiki Kasho song in the background still playing form the qualifying, then Life's Coming in Slow, now another song, and I'm STILL sitting here, staring at blackness...

And of course the fact that the race never started for me will lower my damn SR, like it's my fault.

This bugfest will never end.

No, you didn't lose any DR points, this happens to me every blue moon and the race goes on without you and you just was dropped from race for unknown reasons, have seen others disappear from the list when we'r just about to start, think it is a server issue, doesn't like the connection so it drops players that have a poor signal ie. Red bar.

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying is correct. My SR did drop from S to A for quitting GT7 before the race even started, multiple times in a day. That was when the freezing issue was atrocious a few months ago. There was no other reason for my SR to go down, since I didn't even manage to play between the initial S and the A. I remember this as if it was yesterday.

Plus I never have red bars. Not even light green.

52.1 to 83.3 is, depending on the precise multiplier used, pretty much a miles to kilometres conversion.
