I pre-ordered the physical disc version of the 25th Anniversary Edition on PS5. Hopefully, it isn't so tough on the hard drive space.

@05XR8, @Shakengandulf Can either of you do the pre-download of the 25th Anniversary edition? I purchased that one but can only pre-load the standard version. I've tried in a couple of locations but in the PS Store is the only place the Anniversary Edition is now showing up but it's still got the timer .

Edit: Even in the My Collection section the game has switched from showing the 25th Anniversary Edition to the standard edition

Sorry not on it atm, but im fairly sure its meant to look like that. I dont think we get a fancy screen when installed.

Mine looks like the bottom pic and its fully installed. I also have the anniversary edition.
I think that special anniversary screen is only for the Store to show what edition to purchase..

It's really a long shot but it's very similar to pikes peak "start of the 2nd leg" just before Devil's playground.

Just curious, but I have pre-ordered the 25th anniversary and it isn't downloading for me on my PS5. Though it says expected download on the 24th. However when I check on the my PS account on web I see that all of the pre order bonuses is on "waiting" and for the main game it says an error message and to try again later. I apologize if this issue has been covered earlier in this thread.✌️

Previously mine stated that it was the 25th Anniversary Edition in the Your Collection section of my Game Library like this:

But now there's no mention of the 25th Anniversary Edition at all in my collection, only the the PS4/PS5 editions and a Find Your Line Music Demo. I have to go to the PS Store if I want to see any sign of the 25th edition even existing.

I don't think I'll pre-install this as I've been bitten before and had months long battles with trying to redeem what's owed to me. In one case I'd finished playing through the game before my pre-order bonus and Deluxe Edition extras were redeemed (looking at you The Crew ). It may be better for me to wait until they patch it, if it does indeed need one... which sucks as I won't get to play day one. At least I've got the ACC PS5 version to fill in the time, and fairly rapid internet speed if it turns out I don't need to wait

I reckon there is no actual differency between the 25th AE and the regular one despite the in-game-boni and a fancy box and maybe disc design for the physical copy. Iirc none of the PS3/4 GT SEs had a special menu icon or anything.

I'm pretty sure your right. It's only the fact that there's nothing in my collection now to distinguish which edition I have unlike before. I don't see why I can't just pre-install the whole thing rather than having to chase around for the added bells and whistles on release day. Kinda defeats the purpose of pre-installing as far as I'm concerned, and it adds to the risk of stuff-ups like I've had before.

Just installed the 25th Anniversary on my PS5... I expected it to be more in size than GTSport but GTSport is 115.4 GB on my console and GT7 is 96.800 GB 🤞

ah well at least we are on the final stretch now

Yes. Earlier in the morning(1AM), from my PS4 screen, the game was downloading. The music downloaded successfully. Then, from about 5Am, error messages about the server. From the PStore, as per my posts yesterday, I accessed the avatars. Today, from the PStore, all downloads are shown as waiting. I'll check when I return to my PS4.

I've had the scrolling 25th Ann DD message all along with the PS4 blue screen. Now, I have the GT7 cover, 102GB as posted earlier. Weird.

That's what I thought. I have two GT7 avatars in my purchases. One PS5 and one PS4.

That's also a possibility with the server message I received. Could be rectified as someone posted no problems downloading, above.

For those who purchased the 25th Anniversary Edition and only got the game, avatars and soundtrack, according to the PSN agent I was in a chat with the cars and credits should be downloaded when the game is released (he said 3rd March(possibly meaning date it is released in UTC time, not local time))

One thing that excites me about this game is what it'll become in the future. The base package is very good but with consistent content updates/DLC, I'm sure it will be a knockout success.
