Interesting I personally believe PDs regrets that horrible system but are to proud to remove it and cant cause.
That's a safe assumption to be honest, I think they know it'll go down like a shipwreck if they add more invite cars, but also don't want to admit fault with the system, so it's just left to rot.

If we're lucky it will get an overhaul, but I doubt it.

They didn't put the 918 behind one and while PD has made quite a few questionable choices with GT7, they have to understand that the outrage would be massive.
I hope so. A hypercar like Bugatti chiron feels a bit too good to be true. And PD lately has been kinda like giving with one hand and taking with the other. And it doesnt seem they care too much about enraging their comunity.
Question has any car been added after the games launch that have been invite only? Or have all the invite cars been there since release?
Yes. All brand invite cars are here since launch. I hope for chiron to not be the first dlc one.

It's quite surprising that the invitations haven't been scrapped entirely. If I were to replace it, I'd either lock the invite-only cars behind Collector Levels, or perhaps behind challenges (i.e. Win 5 races in Ferraris to unlock the Enzo, or complete the Zonda R Circuit Experience at High Speed Ring to unlock the Huayra).

Is that k a typo? Drop three zero's and I'd agree with your concept.

75k miles would be just as frustrating as the ticket system to me because I've never come close to 75,000 miles in any car in GT.
It was the first number that came to mind.

What about you get a invite every 5k miles? At 5k miles you get a invite and once that invite expires the miles for that manufacturer restarts.

A heads up for those looking for a PS5. They are available to the public on PlayStation Direct.

I see disc, digital and GoW bundle available.

For me a good idea for brand invites would be: in order to unlock a specific locked car you need to atain a specific collectors level and own collection of specific cars. Ex: in order to unlock the enzo you need to be collector level 40 and own f40, f50 and gto.
Something I kind of suggested with brand Loyalty rewards. Cars, parts. I mean, it would be hard for casual players to collect all Ferraris, but owning a set amount and maybe clearing a few Ferrari races would gift owner loyalty bonus. Or add a week's worth of Daily miles on your Ferraris to unlock the loyalty.
Just something to have players reach for.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been waiting months for an invite from Amazon.

The invite system would have been fine if the roulette weren't the only way to get them (along with special parts, engines, etc.).

Having so much of the game be locked behind roulette RNG really cheapens the feel of the game.
Yeah, that's honestly the only problem with the invite system. If you could get invites through doing things like special challenges or stuff, then it would be fine. Like for instance in order to buy a invite-only Porsche, you could have a challenge where you have to beat a certain amount of events in a Porsche car, then the game awards you an invite.

PS5 shortages still a thing? Good lord…
I think there are still shortages, but nowhere near the levels last year. I also think I see an article somewhere that supply issues in Japan have been fully resolved, so hopefully for you guys that are after a PS5 and haven’t managed to get one, it’s only a matter of time…

Invites would be a great feature if you only buy from that brand. That brand in the game rewards you with a special car to buy due to loyalty.

The best actual omen for the C8 was it showing up at GTWS, but even that didn't necessarily mean anything.
I don't think it means anything more than it being a show car.

There was an AMG GT C Roadster parked at the entrance of the GT World Tour event in Sydney 2020, with Gran Turismo decals on the doors. That's not in-game nor in the datamined car list, though there are plenty of other AMG GTs in-game already.

That could work. There are brands that dont have enough cars for loyalty bonus, like citroen, pagani and eveb bugatti. Citroen has only the gt and its racing versions. Since PD played a role in its conception and that is not very far off from the vgt program. Maybe they use that and link the citroen gt unlock to owning some vgt cars and winning some specific championship.
Pagani Huayra unlock could be an award for owning some specific italian current day supercars and winning some italian championship.
And the veyron wouldnt look bad as an award for owning all other brand invitational cars.
Any idea is better than this rng ticket nonsense.

Come to think of it, a brand loyalty system (like the ones Forza Motorsport or Driveclub used to have) would suit this game perfectly. Owning cars from a certain brand, investing money into tuning them, and winning races with them would all increase your level, and in return, you could get bonuses while driving their cars, discounts on purchasing their cars, ability to purchase previously invite-only cars, and at very high levels, access to special parts and swaps.

It would be awesome if, in order to access swaps, you would need to level up both the brand of the car you're swapping, and the brand of the engine that you're swapping into the car.

This might be an even better idea than my Challenges system. This would open up a whole new dimension of GT7!

There was also the AMG GT3 Evo at this year's world finals and that has yet to show up in GT7.
