Global stars such as Formula One driver and official Gran Turismo 7 ambassador for France, Esteban Ocon, and Sim YouTubers SuperGT and Dave Gaming team up with top GT players for a special Pro-Am race at the Gran Turismo World Series 2022 World Finals!

Along with GTPlanet's @Jordan and @Famine. Didn't know they'd be streaming it 😬

I will also add that I have no idea what happened L1 T3 except that I did my best to avoid it all but ended up squeezed between a car rejoining the track while I was on it and a car on my inside so I couldn't move to avoid it. And had later words with Adam over that shoulder (but he was quicker anyway).

Also the RX-Vision is not the car for that track, but I picked it anyway even knowing that, because I drive Mazdas.

Not sure if they'll show the heats, but I had an entertaining race with DaveGaming. We were very closely matched, so I thought I'd make it look good :D

Damn straight. Even my Pro, Jonathan Wong, got out of the rig and said "That car is so tricky to drive!".

Also what races were the stewards watching?!

Anyway, no more spoilers. We did brilliantly, considering.

So the new nurburgring event pays worse than creating basically the same event in custom race. Good job PD!!! I don't think they look at existing events when creating these zero-imagination events - if they did, how could they think a 2 lap race should pay half as much as a 1 lap race AT THE SAME TRACK!

On the plus side at least the new cars are cool.

Compared to some of the other hyper VGTs like the Porsche and Jag, the Ferrari is on another planet handling-wise. Just fantastic. Great noise as well. I like.

I still need to do the VGT Championship on my second account, have no VGTs yet and didn't get it via the Bonus thingy. Would you guy go with this Ferrari, the Porsche VGT or the typical mentions like Tomahawk and Mazda 55...?

I hope the next game scraps the 'extra menus' thing I don't like being forced to buy cars I really don't care about in order to progress.

You don’t need to do the extra menus to progress. They are just car collections with a reward as encouragement. Nothing is locked if you don’t do them, entirely optional.

I know, but I'm sort of a completionist.

Edit: it's also weird to me having to buy something to get a reward 🤔

You know what I would love to see pd to experiment with multi-class events.

I know you can create them in custom race but its just not the same.

Like for simple a 30 lap race at Daytona with gr1 and gr3 cars and the payout is base on your class, so if your driving a gr3 car you get the payout for that class and if your driving a gr1 and win overall then you get that payout.

Anywho just a thought. :)

Does anyone know if the whatever measuring thing Americans use for weight can be changed to kilograms ?
My settings are on Metric but weight doesn't change, it did change in previous GT titles,
My game disc came preordered from amazon USA.

IMO do not get the Porsche, it understeers like crazy. The Ferrari is pretty good, but needs detuning to get to 850pp. I didn't like the VGT Mazda in GTS, but the Gr.1 version is wonderful. I can't recall if it's eligible for the VGT races. I never liked any of the Tomahawks.

2 Questions

1st - Does gt7 simulate tire pressure and tire warm ups?

2nd - Does fuel last longer the more miles you drive a car? Asking cause when I bought the gr10 and started doing sardegna with it I would pit around lap 7 to refuel and that was on fuel map 1 but now after close to 5K miles of driving it whenever I do this race I can go till lap 11 on fuel map 1 before I need to refuel.

Step 1: Get into Ferrari VGT
Step 2: Aggressively attack corner and either:
A: Understeer
B: Hit sausage kerb and jettison into orbit
Step 3: Name some stars because you're never seeing the track again
Step 4: ???

Joking aside, this thing has a really...weird downforce design. The rear end hikes way up whenever you attack a corner and veer onto the kerb and either causes the rear to unsettle or bounces. And I don't really know what it wants from me because it understeers through corners...and not in the way I'd otherwise gripe about with GT7.

It's weird. I kind of like it.
I didn't think this at all when I drove it. I thought it handled brilliantly; easily the best VGT by a long margin.

I think they’d be fine as little optional “side quests” for bonus items in a future game, but a campaign designed entirely and exclusively around them was a terrible choice PD made for GT7.
And it's sad that they left it in this state, they just keep adding new menu books without racing itself.
It's almost robotic, buy 3-cars and watch a short presentation about them, that's all...

Where's the fun?
