I'm sure Sophy has the power to completely change the AI, if executed properly. PD probably wants to make the integration as beginner friendly as the current system to as challenging as the Lewis Hamilton time trials, while being able to adapt to it's own environment to be used in B Spec. There's always a lot going on behind the scenes it's just unfortunate we don't get as many opportunities to ask questions surrounding major announcements.

Maybe @Jordan could sneak in an interview during the world finals to get a better look into the progression of GT7s lifespan.
Many'd seem to view that even if the GT Mode has huge amount of events like GT4, it'd be for naught if you're only racing terrible AI with chase the rabbit for 'challenge' most of the time. So I'd view Sophy as what'd save GT Mode if executed properly.

Best case scenario is similar GT comeback like car sound and customization.

Difficulty adjustment (and a wider range than just Easy/Normal/Hard) should allow players to both have the beginner friendly one and the hardcore unbeatable ones. Don't want for Sophy to be nerfed for that beginner friendly stuff.

FFB on Formula cars is still like on bicycle 😐 I'm wondering is PD even aware of this issue...
Doing the Red Bulls at Nordschleife and the steering/FFB is so light on my Fanatec, it's horrible. Is it meant to feel that way? Hardly any resistance when turning the wheel.

It was only a matter of time and we already knew that it was coming just not when

Just what we needed, an electric car.
Couldnt care less if a car is BEV, ICE, or HY.
If it drives fine in the game, this is all that matters to me.
Hyundai’s Ioniq are the ugliest new cars around
Though I do agree most EVs are subjectively ugly, the Ioniq5 is almost fine, and there are - by the sheer amount of cars present - many more non EV cars that are less appealing visually. May I remind you of "Fiat Multipla"?

Is Fiat Multipla in Gran Turismo ?

I dont dare opening the brand central to Fiat and be haunted for the rest of my life just to confirm this.
(No, it is not, but I wasnt refering to cars in game).
Most EVs in the game are useless tanks which deliver zero feeling, I doubt the Hyundaï one will be a revelation.

Not playing Gran Turismo to replicate tedious IRL driving but to enjoy petrolhead vehicles that I'll never be able to drive IRL.

Plus I despise heavy SUVs moreover electric ones, the opposite of where we should be heading in terms of vehicles to drive around in everyday life.

Crying shame it isn't real:

Which doesn't necessarily mean it's not true, just that this isn't real.

Edit: Okay, hilariously it's displayed on the in-game News panel  I guess that shows how much attention everyone pays to that...

I wouldn't be disappointed in the Ioniq because it's an EV - the slower EVs are generally the more fun ones in the game IMO, it's the stupidly powerful ones that really miss engine braking and are nasty to drive.

I would be more disappointed in the "PD and Hyundai N to collaborate!" hype just resulting in a car that's already in another game (FH5) already.

But it makes electric combustion engine noises and mimics gear changes.. happy days..

The thing with these fast electric cars like Tesla and Ioniq is that attention hungry basic engineers think they can finally affort a cool car. Nope - sorry, still not cool..😆

What if the car comes to GT7 WITH the addition of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb track? 🧐

Well I don't care if the car comes to GT7 or not. For me it is just some commercial partnership between Hyundaï and PD.

I'd love to see Pikes Peak though.

Just having a laugh. Pikes Peak will never come to GT.. I think. But it would be a very very nice surprise if it that track would be added. Where there is smoke there is...

Notable exception: The i3, being RWD and compact, is pretty fun to zip around in. It also demolishes road cars with similar PP, or at least used to many updates ago.

Do recommend giving it a go.

You're right about "most", though.

I don't know why but I'm a little interested in trying out this one. I probably won't like it as much since EV cars has been boring for me in the game.
