Gran Turismo 7 Livery Editor - General Discussion Thread

Have recently signed up for an online league that has certain livery requirements.

They have said we don't need to create our own, can just put the required decals on any livery, but thought what better time to learn how to create my own.

Are there any tutorials out there that could help?

Found this using the forum's search function with keywords "livery editor tutorial" (the search function is located at the the top right).

Edit: just noticed this is for GTSport. Should mostly apply to GT7 as well, though. Idk why searching for GT7 brings up nothing for me on gtplanet.

I've read others have also had problems with the DeWalt liveries and/or decals previously. They seem to spend quite a lot of time browsing through the galleries 🤷

They must spend a lot of time on Gran Turismo 7 and then justify it by saying they're checking for IP infringement.

So, I hardly ever spontaneously make a livery, I almost never complete it a livery on one sitting, I almost always make all the decals - almost never use showcase decals, and I'm strongly against using decals to mimic bodywork...

.. just did the opposite of all those things.

It's not particularly accurate, in more than one way

Thanks, turns out my issue was typing in variants of GT7.

Recreated the Castrol NSX GT500 so I could change the colours for last weeks TT which I didn't end up entering 😂

All versions are editable, I just uploaded some premade versions.

Those bonnet vents were a nightmare to try to make them look crome without actually using crome paint 😅

The Viper GR3 is the hot-boi meta car for this weeks Time Trial at Daytona, and I didn't own it yet, so I got one, and it definitely needs a livery.

Everything I do is very "racy", so I wanted to get myself out of that box and make a more "fun" and interesting livery. Thought about a recent trip to Hawaii for inspiration... so here's the Hawaiian Tropic/Hawaiian Airlines/Playstation Viper GR3!

I had a lot of fun with this one, but as always, a simple idea turned into a LOT of layers!
