We need to wait for couple of patches at least, they've got more important stuff right now. But the most important thing is that they recognised the problem.

I'm worried that they'll either forget about it or have deemed there's no issue despite everybody being stuck with this problem that has played two versions 😅😬

Hello there!

I know trophies are probably not a main concern for most of you, but I have to point some bugs in collecting them on both platforms simultaneously.
Right now, when you obtain some trophy on PS5 or PS4, you have to repeat the task on second platform to get it (example: you complete all licences on gold on PS5, so on PS4 you have to finish just one license to get that trophy, same with distance or buying a cars). It's like semi-pop.

Problem is with "story" trophies, like finishing Cafe Menu or reaching Finale credits. If you do it on PS5 or PS4, you can't obtain those trophies on second platform in any way possible, because your save file is stored on servers and game thinks you already did it (but doesn't give you the trophy for it). Even replaying whole championship or spending some time in Cafe Menu, it does nothing. So I assume this is a little oversight from Polyphony and I hope they will fix it somehow.

But maybe some of you know some secret way to obtain them on second platform? Maybe if we speak up, some PD staff will see it and fix it for us.

I managed to get the trophies on both platforms by repeating the actions.

I got the Finale one by doing the following.

-Complete the championship.
-DO NOT GO TO THE CAFE YET
-Disconnect from the internet
-Go to the cafe...you'll get an error but it tries to work and gives the trophy
Close out game..DONT GO BACK ONLINE
-Go to the other console while online to sync save before getting the trophy
-Go to the cafe to earn the trophy on that console as well

Yeah so you basically cheated the system haha. Unfortunately, when we completed the game we had no idea this would lock us out of trophies on a second version. If you complete the game fully on one version and do not alternate then it is impossible to earn those 3 at the present time. Hoping for a patch soon

I think you don't understand what's the problem here. Trophies are not synchro correctly between PS4 and PS5 version. Another account is pointless here.

I upgraded to PS5 after completing the Café menu, but the trophies were sync at all.

And clearly you dont understand that PS will not give 2 trophies for the same thing to the same account never had and never will. I have the Anniversary edition but you have only purchased 1 game the fact it has playability for last gen and next gen is irrelevant. i also have the right to comment on everything that you have the right to comment. Maybe you dont have the right to cry over getting a trophy that you already have but because i'm not crying over it but i'm not a spoilt child who doesnt like not getting their own way.

You would have a fair point sir if you were not wrong that is. The case should be closed when you can comprehend that there exists a single game save across platforms. If the two games were separate then you would be correct. Since you are not stop wasting your time arguing for the sake of arguing.

I don't know why but for me the trophies "Living Your Car Life" and "Student of Motoring History" were synchronised. Since I play on two platforms in two different places, I also use both platforms. I also read about the problem and found that at least these two trophies were synchronised. Since I won't be back on my PS5 until next week, I don't dare do the last championship at the moment either, as I would then be missing the gold trophy on the PS5 if I were to earn it on the PS4 now. Of course it would be cool if it could be synchronised afterwards, but at the moment I have no hope that this will happen.

I've only been playing on my PS5 and never got the finale trophy after completing the menus.

This is a major issue that has went relatively under the radar for now since not many people will have tried to play both versions. It is currently IMPOSSIBLE to earn the "LIVING YOUR CAR LIFE" "STUDENT OF MOTORING HISTORY" and "FINALE" TROPHIES if you have beaten the campaign / career on ONE VERSION of the game (in my case PS4 EU) BEFORE switching to another (in my case PS5) using the SAME PSN ACCOUNT. I hope polyphony can fix this as a matter of urgency! There are plenty of people posting about this issue here and there online so the more people that speak out the sooner it can be corrected 🤞🏻 rewatching the final credits, completing the race tournaments again, purchasing the cars used in the cafe menus again all solve nothing

I'm in the same boat. Please get this sorted...

They have at least acknowledged the issue. I imagine it'll all be fixed in a patch or two.

This is also an issue with the car collection trophies. On PS4 I have a trophy for 50 cars, on ps5 I have the 100 cars one. Neither have both. Unfortunately the patch today didn’t fix this one.

You have no idea how trophies work... First of all, console see GT7 for PS5 and for PS4 as separate games, they are not the same game per se. Problem is, that save file is on their severs and works for both platforms. Normally you would have separate save files for each game and there wouldn't be any problems. This is how auto-pop works, because devs allows people to transfer save files from old gen to current gen, so trophies transfers too. With GT7 it's completely otherwise because save is on sever side, not console side.

Correct, that is true at the moment... sadly. I wait and hope so they fix this and when this happened, I will play it again in my PS5 (now play in PS4).

I started 25 anniversary on ps4 pro. My main goal is to earn platinum because it's a lot of fun to me regardless If they are "only" virtual trophies.
I ended up after doing S10 gold with 31% progress.
Now I luckily got hands on a PS5 and continued playing there. Was a bit confused when both versions were listed but makes sense.
I dont know what exact the difference is between them but I think mainly it's graphic related? Or is it normal for crossgen to have seperate versions on PS5? The only reason I bought the Playstation is to play Gran Turismo.😁
So back to topic... After start playing the PS5 version couple of trophies auto popped and then I first thought and realized I will have to earn trophies from scratch.
Would be nice competition but If it's bug related and some trophies then are Impossible to get I hope they will fix it as soon as possible.

Just got down to the last 2 trophies on ps5 and thought I'd catch up on the ps4 version. After realising I had to still do a large portion of the work to get them to pop. I've found myself with the 3 story trophies not popped like everyone else here.

I've been following the thread about what the 3 legendary cars might be. And with this not autopopping. Hopefully it does after the patches.

But just a warning to everyone here who is after a double platinum. You may need enough money to buy a 4th legendary car from the 3 required legendary cars.

There are many gamers who enjoy hunting trophies.

Even If someone dont like trophies, then they can just move along. No reason to come in here and sour the enjoyment of us people who like to try and get all the trophies.

I already got this trophy on the PS4 but when i did a race on the PS5, the trophy didn't pop, do i have to do them all again?

In the beginning it was bugged in the way that races were more or less counted doubled. Having done 25 races, the game thought you’d done 50 and consequently triggered the trophy. I noticed after the latest patch however, that the stats for total races I’ve entered corrected itself (after participating in a new one) and was no longer 50 but far less.

All trophies are unlocking after switching from version PS5 > PS4 and visa versa. You don't have to do anything. Good job, PD.

1.15 only fixed it partially for me. I was able to unlock the "Living your car life" trophy on the PS5 (which I already had on PS4) by starting one of the new cafe menu's, but the "Student of Motoring History" still won't unlock on PS5 and none of the new menu's are car collecting menu's. That is the last trophy I need to get the platinum. Anyone else having issues still with 1.15?

I read some other posts and got it to unlock. I had to open the PS4 version of the game and then open the PS5 version again and it unlocked the trophy.

I had the plat on ps5.
Downloaded and played the ps4 version today and all of trophy's (including the plat) popped straight way.

That is the last trophy I need to get the platinum. Anyone else having issues still with 1.15?

I've been bugged out of the Finale trophy. It was the only trophy I was missing on PS5. I downloaded the PS4 version and all the trophies popped except the Finale trophy as well. I've finished the 39 cafe books and even 1 new cafe book, but can't seem to get the Finale trophy to pop.

Could it possibly be that your trophy will pop after the final Menu Book that is available right now, so after 42?
