For every update released, there is the potential for changes not listed in the initial patch notes. Please report any undocumented changes you find in the current update and I'll update the OP as much as possible to reflect those changes found.

1. It is encouraged that you make an effort in verifying these changes as much as possible, either through videos or images.
2. If you need help from the community to verify something, don't be afraid to ask.
3. It is strongly advised that you be as specific and detailed as possible with the information including a brief description of the bug or improvement before it was fixed/changed (if applicable) and how. If English is not your first language that's ok, just do it to the best of your ability.

THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD ABOUT THE OFFICIAL CHANGES Only any changes not listed on the official site are discussed here
THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD ABOUT THE PROS AND CONS OF THE UPDATE or anything else other than undocumented changes in the update. Keep those strictly to the appropriate threads:

Been a while but you folks should know the drill by now: Post changes not officially covered in the patch notes. Any glitches, engine swaps and physics changes go in these dedicated threads:

And now you may post.

Very small one - in addition to the new 2024 GT-R, the GT-R Safety Car is now eligible for Nissan GT-R Cup events.
Wasn't that previously the case? I'm sure I used my GT-R Safety Car for one of these events a while back...
Not according to my spreadsheet. I might have missed that change, but I had just the GT-Rs with a year after them as eligible (not counting the newly-added 2024). The wiki also freshly-added the safety car as eligible.

I stand corrected.

PP values for cars that had incorrect values listed in the various dealerships (bug introduced in 1.50) have been corrected in the various dealerships.

Could just be my TV and not an intentional fix, but a couple of updates ago, with the 120 FPS mode enabled in GT7, the game would only output in a 4K container if I restarted the PS5. If I brought it out of rest mode, it would only display at 1080p or 1440p once 1440p was enabled through the Test 1440p Output option on the PS5.

Now, it’s back to how it used to be, if I boot the game from rest mode, with the 120 FPS mode enabled through the in-game options, it displays in a 4K container again. Happy about this! I wonder if either they found something wrong, or the PS5 Pro coming up made them double check the high framerate option, and they changed something which made it work properly again with my TV.

Aggressive oscillation still exists on the gr1 cars. This is only on a straight line, and at higher speeds. Relative to pre update it is improved with rear wheel drive cars faring better and mostly manageable, where as the 4wd prototype/lmp style vehicles remain very aggressive. By aggressive, it knocked the psvr2 ear bud out of my ear while surfing it yesterday.

I run the fanatec dd X with high in game settings. 10/8

If this really was an issue I guess the fix is more related to one of the latest ps5 firmware updates and not because of the GT7 update.

It's FFB sensitivity, I adjust both the torque and torque sensitivity almost on a car by car basis, it's also dependent on the circuit as well.

I don't like the detail at Interlagos, it's too much for me so I knock it right back.

In some of the TTs I dial it up because Suzuka is smoother for example and the MX5 too light so I dial them both up.

For the daily GR 3 I have them mostly middle of the road.

So basically just adjust the parameters as needed rather than find a setting.

It happened after the firmware update and before the GT7 update. I also recall it breaking after a game update, although maybe the firmware update + something they adjusted in the game code?

Cool. Ill give it a try today.

Edit: ok. Can confirm dropping the in gsme ffb sensi down to 1 made prototypes drivable without it being a wild jiggle ride. Dropping For on fanatec wheels also helps. Both are compromises which force us to use less of our wheels, which is annoying. Really wish they could grt their poop in a group. I love my wheel settings and, for the most part have enjoyed the physics evolution…but dang pd. How hard is it to apply a little damper to a road effect at a certain speed?!

Anyway, thanks again for the tip

The system update a week and half back had a lot of video impacts. I highly suspect the AMD drivers and the default AFMF2 is in effect, along with the typical AMD CPU and GPU efficiency improvements. The 36 RDNA2 Compute Units are compatible, though defaults and any adjustments would be nice to be exposed to us.

Possibly bad HDMI cable?
Maybe, although I think more likely is that my TV didn’t have HDMI 2.1 (or it may have been VRR) support from the off, it was added in a firmware update. It can be finicky with VRR in so far as it washes out the picture fairly often when activating it. It’s easily fixed by re-toggling VRR on again. It’s been like this since I started using it in high framerate mode. I’m using the HDMI cable which came with the PS5. That combined with some kind of tweak in GT7 or the PS5 operating system has made it not play nicely. Thankfully still workaround-able and not much of an inconvenience.

We need the VRR measurements :D

My equipment only allows the data capture and analysis for the HDMI signal. It's too locked down across the USBC PSVR2 signal bus. but we all know this. 🤷‍♀️

So how much of an Performance upgrade did we get with the system updates?

With the system update 1440 VRR rate basically stays at 120 now 95%+ of the time. It used to vary 90-110 on average.

You either have to drop Torque or Sensitivity to stop the wiggle. I recommend reducing Torque (and not Sensitivity) as most FFB comes now from Sensitivity (Sens now acts kinda like a filter of how much FFB game provides)
