I know the GT-One will likely be the 1999 GTP version which should place it in Gr.1, but I’d like to see the ‘98 GT1 version in Gr.2 just to see why everyone gets so confused why a prototype is in that class.

GT-One!!!!1!
Two other nice inclusions too, but wow! I thought they'd save that nostalgia-missile for a GT8 trailer.
If it is Gr.1 I think it'll be a tad underpowered before a turbo upgrade (assuming 590, rather than 690bhp) though if it's in Gr.2 it will almost never be raced...
Whatever the case, I'll be buying it and taking it for a tour of some of the tracks it's missed in the last eight years. Good to have you back, old friend! (and license gatekeeper)

yawn Nothing I care about in this update; worst update ever.

That's how we do this thing, right?
You forgot to type "I'm done with this game" and your obligatory goodbyes, as not as many people on this forum share your sentiments as you had hoped, only to return after next months reveals to do the same thing again and so on.

Not considering the Jimny (or Willys Jeep for that matter) GT7’s “first SUV”is the definition of splitting hairs, especially since it is a true body on frame SUV, not a crossover like the Urus. But sure, it’s the first crossover SUV in the modern sense.

But nice to see one of the signature classic Gran Turismo cars reappear in the GT-one. We have most of the classics now, except maybe some of the weirdos like the Tommykaira ZZ-S or Gillet Vertigo.

THE TOYOTA GT-ONE IS HERE, THIS IS NOT A DRILL, I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THESE!
Does this mean we'll get the R390 eventually???

Agree on the Urus, but not even any emotion regarding the TS020? I feel like whether you like it or not, it's PD again doing some fan service.
When it finally arrives to the game:

OMG, the legendary Toyota GT-One is finally coming to the game?! And also two other interesting cars, we finally get to experience a more recent Audi R-8 and Lambo Urus. There's been quite some time since I've been interested in all cars in an update, well done, Kaz, well done!!

License gatekeeper indeed. It's triggering my ptsd.

I'm guessing this update means no weekly challenges for the coming week, really enjoy those but if the update is worthwhile, I guess it's a worthy forfeit...

ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO!

I've been always referring to these three as the Forgotten Holy Trinity. Still feels unreal although kind of expected that we eventually got the GT-One.
For me, there is a sort of "Holy Quartet" of GT1 era:
  • Mercedes CLK GTR or CLK LM;
  • McLaren F1 GTR "Longtail" (AKA BMW Motorsport McLaren etc.);
  • Porsche 911 GT1 (too bad right now we have only the Strassenversion);
  • Toyota TS020 GT-One.
But it can be easily a "Holy Quintet" with the R390 GT1 too. :cheers:

Why do you think this? The challenges change on Fridays. But then it's PD.
