so no nissan r390 gt1 race car maybe next update or someday in future it will return to gran turismo series again

Rip 🙏 nissan r390 gt1 race car
The R390 race car is my favorite from GT3, it has the best grip & handling compared to Mazda 787B & Toyota GT One [in GT3 while GT4 has many more better LM cars], especially for pad users.

it's just that most "faster version cars" in Europe are labelled "GTI" or "turbo" instead of something like T16.
Well the GTI is definitely the "faster version" in this case when compared to the normal models. It's just that the T16 is the "insanely fast version" that in just about any other case doesn't even exist.

What I am enjoying are the varieties of vehicles being added. This is what I enjoy and recall about Gran Turismo games of the past. There weren't just a bunch of race cars and supercars. There was a melting pot of vehicles from quirky commuters to your parent's cars.

I know many folks just want PD to hurry up and add their wish list, but I trust PD enough to "let them cook".
I also enjoyed the variety in older games, but over the past year PD has been making more rebellious choices than they used to do. I remember driving ferocious kei cars like the Honda City Turbo II and Daihatsu Mira TR-XX Avanzato R. Quirky cars for a mainstream racing game, but cars that still felt fun around a circuit. Nowadays I’m not sure what PD is trying to achieve with some of their cars choices. Toyota utility vehicles and what appears to be a massive German truck. No thanks.

I agree with the addition of cars like the Peugeot 205, BMW Z4 and Honda Civic (EF) 100%. It just seems like for every good 2-3 cars added they have developed a habit of also including something quite odd. Again, oddities can be cool, but not when we cross into utility vehicle territory every so often.

Well, if that Z4 is the 2003 3.0i model, look like one car “returns” from the datamine.

Not a complaint, maybe it irks me, but just an observation about the convertibles. Most of them in the game have the top down except the Copen and S2000. I remember when we could put the top down on the S2000. Just seems so odd to have it up when the car is fully rendered. Especially when now we can add roll cages to said cars.

Anyway, at least it’s good the BMW has its top down.
We [the players] should get to choose this also, like we should with all similar cars like mx-5, Chevrolet Corvette C1, Ferrari California, Opel Speedster etc.

Fun fact for you: the Unimog once accidentally won the trucks category at Dakar (back when it was the Paris-Dakar). That was the second truck victory for a Unimog, with an actual entry in 1982, but this one had a race number as it was a support vehicle for the Honda motorbikes in 1986 rather than as an actual trucks entry - which did lead to a weird bit of classification wherein a Honda Mercedes-Benz Unimog took victory. Another finished 8th.

It wasn't this one - I think it was a 437-model U1300L - but still a rather unique bit of motorsport history.

I can see where PD might be coming from with these quirky choices. Like I said earlier, all the cars they add have interesting stories to tell. Though, at the end of the day PD knows that by adding “fluff” no one asked for, they can keep the game alive while also delaying the addition of cars people are asking for. It’s a way for them to keep everyone hooked wanting more. In theory they could rush to make all the cool GT6 standard cars premium, but in doing so they would also play the whole nostalgia card earlier than they might want to. So we recently got a Toyota C-HR even though most players would probably prefer something like the Altezza RS200. This time it’s a truck that almost makes the ambulance controversy from last year pale in comparison.

I realise this is kind of grasping-at-straws logic, but thinking about it, I think the chances of either a new track or a new event type this update are higher than usual.

Why? Because there's only three cars in the update, and while the Z4 is clearly Schwarzwald League and the 205 is likely European Sunday Cup 400, there isn't a logical Unimog event (it'll be too slow for even Sunday Cup, like the Himedic). And we never get fewer than 3 events. But with a new Bonus Book or track, we usually get 5 (three for the new event content + 2 elsewhere for cars) which fits.

I wonder if it’s time for the price cap of $20 million to be lifted? Coincidentally the top tier cars are showing very high resale prices in the used car shop right now. The legendary dealership features the P4, F1, and 917, the latter which reached a bid of $25 million at auction recently.
