And so many of us don't play Sport Mode due to the fact you put in time and effort into getting "gud", and some maroon comes along in the first corner and ruins your entire race. It gets rather old after a while, and you simply give up.
Ahh, so you're one of those people who like to "race" but, at the same time, don't like racing.

I'm curious, do also avoid other sporting games because the opposition might score against you?

"It gets rather old after a while, and you simply give up." - In other words, you never got "gud" as you say.

So, you want a challenge, but not the challenge of being defeated. I take it that you also want the AI to be more like real people, but at the same time, not at all like real people. They should be like real world racers, but not the real world racers that exist in the real world, that make mistakes and sometimes cause accidents, which happens even at the highest levels of racing. An AI that makes you feel good because, based on your assessment to Sport Mode, you are not actually good.

Maybe not tractors, but the Sardegna tracks surroundings are full of various variations of Piaggio Ape’s… Wouldn’t mind PD adding one of those with the option the change what’s in the back :) (open bed with/without rollcage and enclosed cargo box etc) and of course the engine swap option to put in a high powered motorcycle engine…

If only…

They’re actually pretty cool, very utilitarian and slow like tractors, especially the older variants, the newer versions are obviously more modern and can keep up with modern traffic. It’s a interesting YouTube rabbit hole to get in :) But a vehicle like the Unimog (old or new) REALLY doesn’t belong in a game like Gran Turismo imho…
Yeah we need: tractor, caterpillar truck, bus, motorbike, motorhome, tanks ...... :gtpflag:

This is the most exciting update in over a year to me since this one time it's all peak Gran Turismo car selection, goofy addition of hot hatch a sports coupe and a meme material Midget-like utility looking vehicle.
The game still really lacked sleeper wagons and especially sports sedan like BMW M5, any of the M5 will do fine for me at this point.
What took over my time at the moment is the closed network test of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds I applied and got randomly picked to test the game and it's a blast so far, Chaotic Fun!

Just to weigh in here, agree with @Voodoovaj sport mode can be painful at times but I find the good to outweigh the frustration.

It does take some effort to put a time in to be fighting, whatever your DR

Just got to keep going and don’t get drawn into the BS, it’s hard but possible

I find the racing to be life like, anything can happen and invariably does

Never give up 👊

I agree. I think the updates with offbeat vehicles have been the best. The Hiace was customized to the max, and it's a fun vehicle with or without the engine swap. The last update with the Civic and the F3500, well, I'm still making liveries.

I think that Unimog (if that is what we get) will be a lot of fun when viewed from a global game perspective.

On console you have assetto corsa competizione.
On PC you have raceroom, iracing, automobilista 2, le mans ultimate, rfactor 2, forza motortsport, reinsport if you want gt3 .
Every game you mentioned has up to date Gt3 cars. Even Forza has most of the contemporary Gt3 cars as well keeps adding modern hypercars and road cars. There is nothing to justify PD especially when online racing is basically only in gt3 and gt4 cars. Sony even broadcast World Finals where players compete in 10 years old Gt3 and semi real cars which is really shame. As I said there is no justification for not having more up to date racecars

Pretty simple. We need updated and more race cars and race tracks. Fake F1 cars, mommy grocery store running hatchbacks, and trucks from small corners of the earth are fine and dandy but people want race cars and actual purpose built race tracks. Silverstone, which is in the GT movie.

I don’t know what is over your head.

Man just stop it, act like an grown up, it’s just ridiculous..

From what I remember reading, its been terribly neglected by its owner due to the lack of proper upkeep after all the starting up and revving (there's video where it struggles hard to get going).

Car is owned by a guy named Brent Hajek in Oklahoma.

This sounds horrible, don’t understand why Ford sold in the first place, it should be in the Henry Ford Museum where it gets proper care.

I want a Tuk-Tuk and a Bangkok street track. What now?
More variety the better, you feel every bump in one of them. It would be good if they brought back go-kart tracks like Kart Space for the slower cars, would be more fun to drive. They should consider also adding the Reliant Regal while they are it.

Grow up a bit,eh.

new update

What I am enjoying are the varieties of vehicles being added. This is what I enjoy and recall about Gran Turismo games of the past. There weren't just a bunch of race cars and supercars. There was a melting pot of vehicles from quirky commuters to your parent's cars.

I know many folks just want PD to hurry up and add their wish list, but I trust PD enough to "let them cook".

And you know what else has a latest GT3 and hypercar, as well as a GT classic, that GT7 doesn't currently have? A little mobile game called Asphalt Legends Unite:

Surely it isn't a problem when RaceRoom or Automobilista 2 did the same?

Well, if that Z4 is the 2003 3.0i model, look like one car “returns” from the datamine.

Not a complaint, maybe it irks me, but just an observation about the convertibles. Most of them in the game have the top down except the Copen and S2000. I remember when we could put the top down on the S2000. Just seems so odd to have it up when the car is fully rendered. Especially when now we can add roll cages to said cars.

Anyway, at least it’s good the BMW has its top down.
