They are predetermined yes but with each major update the rewards get changed and therefore so do the rewards on the tickets you saved. I save them for each big update and my rewards have changed each time
Wrong... The prizes of the tickets YOU ALREADY GOT in the gift menu will not change. The change only applies to future tickets you win from the update onwards.

My conclusion is that Sony likely pushed them to release the game before it was ready.
You might be right. Kaz has been promising games that got delayed for years or never even got finished for over 20 years now ever since GT2000 and GT7 was already delayed once (or even more times unless you ignore the fact he has also told us it was coming "in maybe a year or two" who knows how many times since GT6 came out)

He might have just tried to pull the same again and went up to the Sony execs telling them he needs another 4 years of development time to improve the astronomically accurate star location simulation only for them to go "Oh not this again, bugger off and for once finish the game when you promised"

Update can change rewards for tickets that you will receive, not the ones that you already have.

- And now, most importantly, YOU STILL CAN'T SELL CARS!

YOU STILL CAN'T SELL CARS!!!

Really????????????? Another month without this much, much needed feature for a far better single player experience and it's still not added, but instead we get crap like this:

5 *ing months of this *... For this amount of time, barely any casual player sticks to one game for that long (not even close) and we still don't have this basic feature.

5 months... This update gets an automatic minus from me and as I stay true to my words, I'm going to review bomb the game. Can't take it anymore...

WHAT?! Kaz made a promise with words "near future", months passed and still nothing... I'm pissed too:/

The good:

- Quality of Life improvements in the Lobbies and Custom Races and the Racing Shop added to the actual races were much needed simple improvements, but again, should've been here from the start.

- 3 new cars. All of which are significant and unique. Can't say nothing about the 2 that will only go on sale in the LCD tomorrow, but the 918 Spyder is more than fairly priced at 1.6 million. And, surprisingly, doesn't require an invitation to be bought.

- Along with these 3 cars, some new events where you can actually use them, a Classical Car Menu Book for the Maserati (and other classics) and a Hypercar Menu Book for the 918 Spyder (and other hypercars).

- Apparently some changes in the FFB, but since I don't have a wheel, I can't really tell how good this was. But it seems like it was in a good way from what I hear.

... And this is where the good ends. And to be frank, it was all within expectations, especially the events and cars.

Now let's get to the bad:

- The 2 new menu books are events that pay out as fairly as 95% of the other events in the game. So they aren't really grindable. So you gotta stick with the same 3-4 events for the rest of the month to grid... AGAIN!!!!
And these events can also be finished in a couple of hours at most. No endurance races...

- Economy in Custom Races and Sport Mode Races are still borderline insulting...

- And now, most importantly, YOU STILL CAN'T SELL CARS!

If you react this way to everything in life that doesn’t go the way you want, you might wanna check your bloodpressure.

A few nice QoL changes but yet again, nothing significant in the new gameplay and features department, nor any major improvements to the core experience - AI, race format, Sport Mode, etc.

Three to six races and three cars a month. How can they think that is enough new content to keep people interested? Other live service games put them to shame.

They surely can't think millions of people will keep coming back to the game for this stuff.

Are new features on the scale of Course Maker, B-Spec on the cards or is this it, is the core of the game considered done and only small tweaks/QoL changes are planned?

Then explain my rewards changed 😂
Proof that they changed if you didn't open them before the updates?

I'm the healthiest I've ever been. Thanks for your concern. Would like to know what relevance this has here.

Opinions, ladies and gentlemen, presented as facts, are the most glaring sign of dishonesty.

Dear God, one day you people will have to realise that your own personal interpretation of where they should go with the game is going to be wrong, or at least wide of the mark of what actually happens.

People have been parroting this "no sell cars we wer lied 2" take for months now and it doesn't hold any more water now than then. Just don't waste your in game credits and it isn't even a problem.

Meanwhile, all lobby heads, we can now save up to 50 settings for our lobbies (more than GTS) AND we can now do it for custom races too!

Having made 1m credits without lifting a finger this morning (nations/Manu guesses) I find this much more welcoming than an end to the TORMENT of maybe having 3 mx5s when I only use one.

Baffling.

You fail, miserably, to see the intent of why we still can't sell cars. This isn't personal interpretation at all.

You on the other hand are wetting your pants all happy with changes that should've been on the game at launch. Meanwhile, a ton of people already dusted the game and won't ever see these changes in the first place. You are the one being disingenuous if anything.

Oh, you'll be so angry when they eventually add the car selling feature and only allow you to sell cars you have purchased (no prize cars) for 25% of what you paid.

Actually, that's like one of the more "positive" scenarios. Regardless, this feature should've been here already, it's way past it's "sell date".

Still better than getting BAC Mono part from 6 star parts ticket for one of the collection menu and Greddy Fugu Z (a car which I already have).

Not really, I feel I just recognise that a product engineered to appeal (and hopefully sell to) millions of people across the world is unlikely to tick every box I personally have to clear the bar as a good product or fun video game.

I was raised to make do with what I had rather than bitch and moan for more and to try to stick to the rule that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything. I can't claim 100% success at that but, at the end of the day, I tend not to get angry or upset about things like video games and save that energy for things I can meaningfully affect, and if something looks like it doesn't suit me, I just don't buy it.

If that's dishonest or disingenuous, well, we are all screwed, bud.

And yet here you are... on a gaming forum wasting your energy and time talking to someone who doesn't agree with your view on something about a game.

Spare me with all this futility will ya?

I stick to the rule of, if you don't have something meaningful to say, don't say it.

Can someone tell me as a person who has only 3hrs in total a week to play this game how I am ment to get a slither if the full experience available?

I don't expect cars to be free in-game currency wide but right now it basically impossible for me to enjoy large swathes of the cars I want to use. Seems like I am being railroaded into buying cars which is ridiculous as I've already bought the game.

If I think I have something meaningful to say, I shout it in all caps every chance I get.
Just kidding... I get the point, it is a promised feature that is still lacking and it's a shame it isn't there yet.

That's just to bring awareness of a focal point. Doesn't mean I'm actually stomping on my keyboard typing in anger. I mean... sure you can at least figure this out?

It's not a minority, like almost everyone is pissed that we still can't do this. Go look at the social media posts and see the comments of people annoyed that we can't sell cars in a game that revolves itself around economy, and you can buy cars in the first place.

Okay, so:
  1. Thumbnail
  2. Regulations
  3. Payout
  4. AI lineup pool
  5. Location, weather, time of day
  6. Tyre wear, fuel consumption multiplicators settings
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this all that goes into preparing an event? I'd ask PoDi about this if they were a company that at all tries to communicate. Doesn't seem like a terrible lot of work given that they know how to make events already and they shouldn't need a huge amount of QA by now.
Assuming they work 5 days a week, it's been 25 days for them since the last update. They averaged out 1 race in 4 days this "month".
Nothing they do feels like it's feedback-driven.

You have not been too difficult to 'figure out', but like I said, I understand your point but I think almost everyone here got the point long ago.

Win races, get credits, buy cars, repeat.
You only need Sardegna & La Sarthe.
