+1. I’ll even dare to say, good job; PD found a lucrative way to eventually implement multi-screen, multi-render for the coming full game.💡👍

(DELETE) I still have a little doubt regarding the 240 frame rate exposed above. I can understand the principle explained but this would mean each PS3 renders a full 2160x3840 frame (wich according figure1 is not the case) (DELETE)

Edit: Confusion sorted: It’s either 1080@240 (SXRD) or 2160@60 (SRX). Sorry NoxNoctis but you will need 16 PS3:ouch: to achieve it.

That's not actually 240 frames per second, since it's 4 screens.

Each screen is still refreshing at 60 fps.
There are two demos to show different outputs with same power. The 240fps demo run at original 1080p one screen.

What so the demo made its self then?? WTF
Some one from the development team had to have made it!!

You think!!

Or maybe just someone from Sony's own technical team with access to PD's work.

I was right...

Anyways. Demo was allready made, its a GT5Prologue. All PD had to do is Combine 4 Ps3s and create quick software. ....

There are over 115 people working in PD. Only few ppl needed to do this demo.

Everything PD makes even this demo, a prologue, etc.. it's helpful for FULL GT5 game...

i find myself in agreement with shimist. such p***ing around, using multiple ps3 set ups etc
that the average punter, ie us, is never going to use is needless showboating imo

they've got far more pressing stuff to sort out. decent ai, damage, licencing issues, etc etc

It's not like they stop PRODUCTION... guys its brake through what they did not taking steps back..

Besides if it would be possible to have 2 PS3s for better framerate and graphics. I would buy another PS3.
There are many people that want 3 screen setup with 3 PS3s so even that DEMO counts.

why they just don't make the full game run on 120 fps from 1 ps3 ;)

Then you will also be losing a large resolution for a faster fps. I ask you, have you ever seen a game run at 120fps at the same resolution as GT5P on a PC?

What you are asking for is too much for even the best PC systems in the world.

Seriously,I can't see the point of them spending time on this when the game looks more than good enough at the moment.
I would have thought the time would be better spent on things like weather, dynamic time, tyre marks on track, better volumetric smoke, proper wet weather tyres, engine bay views, mechanical failures, real dirt and grime build-up on cars...the list goes on and on.

Maybe I'm wrong but sometimes PD seem to be going in a lost direction.

ok then.I don't play much PC games most of my playing time is on PS2&3 so lest keep it 60 then and add more stuff to the game :)

I think its a good thing to be added to the full game with a patch, but as things are taking so long with just getting main parts working ie online! damage!! AI!!
shouldn't they be 100% trying to get that finished first!
I would buy an extra PS3 if the full game supported somthing similar to the demo, so i'm not knocking it, just need the full game, FAST

I think PD should make it. For the people with MULTIPLE PS3s will have more smoke from tires, better weather effects, more stuff, smoother frames, ETC list goes on and on.

Just like in PC world. People with Better and more expensive PCs have better graphics, physics, frames, etc... same thing with at least GT5 should be.
