ā‚¬35 for a couple of coasters that will only look good when you put them all together in a certain order (which is never, that's not how people use coasters)?

That's 3,5 million credits! For just ā‚¬30 more you could buy a CLK-LM with that.
Lol, I wonder if Polyphony realised that they were setting themselves up for a couple of decades of microtransaction jokes?

Gran Turismo 8 is going to come out, and people are going to be comparing it to buying 6,750,000 credits (more than a third of an Alfa 8C!) in GT7. Decisions, decisions.

šŸ™„

Totally missed oportunity to have a more Sophysticated look that this templated ā€œplace your logo in hereā€ design

And the coaster set??? Seriously who came with thatā€¦

So many things should have been there, like idk a model car? šŸ˜ , halfzip tech sweater, hardshell, fleece jacket, vest, polo shirts, backpack, messinger bag, belt bag, tracksuit, socks, towels, trainersā€¦
The coaster set was included with a version of gt7 somewhere. I think it was in asia somewhere.

I think its sad how the redbubble bootleggers put in more effort then these companies.

I have a big pen collection along with a decent sized pint glass collection so I snagged the pens and glass. I didn't really find the stuff that overpriced for logoed merchandise, but the shipping absurd. $10 to ship pens? Should be $3 at the most and I order pens all the time from all over the world.

That's is how they get you sometimes is with the shipping. My wife was ordering some stuff my son's teacher had listed on Amazon and the shipping on what she chose was actually more the item she was going to order. Anyway back on topic this is should have come out before the game's release. Also they should definitely have some 25th anniversary logos somewhere on the merch. Also maybe some color choices for the merch.

Part of that is Amazon's fault. Our company sells stuff on Amazon for one of our brands. The items are <Ā£2, yet the carriage is >Ā£4.50. We can't change it because it's what Amazon set as a "fair" charge and this varies depending on what category it's for sale in. Depending on your seller status I think you can change the shipping rates, but you have to pay a monthly fee. If you don't sell much it's simply not worth it. I think it's Amazon disincentivising small sellers, personally, though for us it doesn't matter, it's nothing to do with our core business at all.

This is just awful in a very sad way.

170 euro for a debatably beautiful black jacket with a small grey GT logo on it. Wow. Wow.

This is enough money in Poland (*after converting the money to our local currency, as in, without whatever the "default" additional markup would be) to pay for a month's rent for a 70 sqm apartment you own. It's also enough to make your own lunch for three people for literally 80 days, and that's when you cook for four days ahead at a time.

I used to have a Gran Turismo 2 man bag that I'd use for my camera gear... not sure I'd be brave enough to wear something with a GT logo on it now, don't want to be hounded by people foaming at the mouth over microtransactions!

"you're not going to charge me to talk to you, are you?"

That's nice and all, but I'll just wait for my anti social social club x gran turismo order to show up.

In fairness, fashion is all about paying more for something than it's actually worth, you can't level that kind of criticism just at Sony!

"you're not going to charge me to talk to you, are you?"
Matski: "Hey, wanna go for a beer?"
Matski's friend: "OMG, I've got to, like, grind the 'ranch 38 times just to buy a bag of nuts!22!!z!"
Matski: "I promise it won't be that bad..."
Rando in street wearing GTPlanet T-shirt: "Hey look, he's got a GT logo on him, he needs a smack in the mother ******* mouth!"
Matski: "Err... CHEESE IT" <disappears not be heard from for 30 hours>

They also donā€™t have to adhere to licensing (car images) or brand guidelines, and theoretically Sony could request takedowns.

Not saying the official merch is better (itā€™s quite plain) but I doubt its incompetence thatā€™s driving the design process here, given their creative services department came up with some great key art and other elements in their marketing.

I could appreciate a white mug with a black GT logo, which is not even an option, but whatā€™s there desperately needs some colour.

They prob outsourced the merch designs n production to the lowest bidder
