Normally I would agree with you, but Pescarolo had two cars in GT4, so I would expect the partnership beteween them and PD to continue. This doesn't necessarily give any hints to a close release date, but whenever GT5 does come out, I think we can be fairly certain that this car will be in the game.

That's not what Jay is trying to say here.... This car will be in the game. But PD is doing this already for years... It's not like they try to secretly show wich cars are going to be in there...

I'm surprised no one has quoted this post as proof that Porsche will be in the game. Even though both these cars are 10 years old! :dopey:

Just to clarify, although it helps its chances because Pescarolo have a good relationship with Sony/PD and have appeared in GT before, there have been plenty of Gran Turismo-sponsored cars before that never appeared, such as:

(the Gran Turismo sponsorship is on the spoiler, I have the model of this very car at home, is how I know ;) )

Oh, and I just found this too:

the funny thing is that forza 3 will have to put those decals on the cars, if they will be in the game (and they wanne keep it original :D). Same counts for any car of the 24h @ the Nürburgring, coz GT was the main-sponsor there as well.

btw. i dont wanne start another "war of the consoles". It would be just as funny the other way round (which it actually is, for example if you take a look @ last years LeMans cars).

Its going to be interesing to see, how the different developers will be handling this problem ;)

I believe in GT2 (and maybe others) there were some rallycars with V-Rally stickers on them ;)

Also die-cast model makers don't really care if they have to put on another die-cast manufacturer on their models :)

It's more likely that Forza 3 will get the factory teams cars which are sponsored by Xbox. ;) Although, it wouldn't be the first time an Xbox game had Playstation logos in it, one of the soccer (sorry Europeans, football :sly:) games on Xbox 360 has Playstation logos in one of the stadiums.

Gran Turismo and PlayStation have sponsored Pescarolo for as many years as I can remember. However the inclusion of sponsorship on this car isn't a guarentee that it'll be in the game. Gran Turismo and PlayStation also sponsored the Chrysler/Oreca Dallara LMP2s in 2000 and we've never seen them in the game.

The only time I've seen a race team car in GT was only when the team was sponcered for more than three years.

Unfortunately, the Pescarolo Peugeot got owned HARD with Benoit T. going to the hospital. I'm hopeful that we could well see the Pescarolo Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, or even the potential outright winning Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 HDi FAP's. That Pescarolo Peugeot looks beautiful, but too bad it's a heap of scrap metal from this race.

This car is not the offical works car of Peugeot, this is the Pescarolo 908. The cars of Pescarolo have been sponsored by Sony for a long time, the livery of this car is already in GT4.

I don't now how the livery of the works Peugeot looks but it's likely Xbox360 is one of the sponsors.

Team Peugeot Sport is going to get the Playstation sponsor, not Pescarolo Sport.

You're going to see the sticker on THIS baby:

Last year XBOX360 had the sponsor:

Your right, it's the 2009 car. On pictures of the 2010 works 908 i can't find the Xbox360 logo, but also no Gran Turismo logo's. Next week we will know.

Pretty cool. I know for a fact that the factory 908s had some sponsoring by MS due to the XBOX360 logos they had on the sides. I recall seeing that when I went in 2007. This seems to be a Pescarolo team which basically means they are free at will to do as they please and I believe they are proSony of the two.
