I hope you're right, it wouldn't make sense for them not to include them in race, but in the mileage exchange as mentioned in my post it says 'Replaceable wheels that can be used in the livery editor', so we'll have to wait and see

It says that because in order to change wheels you have to do it in the livery editor. There's no other place to do so. :)

So from what we're seeing from members on here, Fanatec wheels once again aren't supported in GT? :banghead: I can't go through another GT with an unsupported wheel.

I think this has to do with the partnerships PD has with Thrustmaster. They have been working on official racing wheels for quite some time now (T500rs, T300rs GT edition and the T-GT. Before that, the Logitech DF GT).

IMO is just a way to make you buy a specific periferal that PD know will work the best with the game.

Having said that, I see no reason why PD would not at least support the Fanatec CSL since it's quite a good wheel and lots of people have one.

That was always my gues as well, but here is some good news from fanatec. Fingers crossed the compatibility of a new wheel will allow the older ones to work as well.

Good News!
I am happy to announce that we finally signed an Agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for an officially licensed racing Wheel for the PlayStation 4. Of Course we are in discussions with other regions as well and our target is to make a fully compatible racing wheel for Gran Turismo Sport and other great racing simulations in 2017.

We can now make this new racing wheel compatible to the console system and that means you get full functionality like the PS button or navigation in the console menu. Unfortunately we cannot share more technical details about this product until it is fully approved.
It is still Sony's policy that only official licensed products will be compatible to future games but we will make as much of your current peripherals compatible to the PS4 as possible. What we can already confirm is that at this point it is not possible to make existing wheel bases compatible anymore. This is not a technical problem but was part of the deal. I am aware that this is not what some of you want to hear but we will make sure that the new racing wheel will be the best wheel for PS4 out there. So if you stay with Fanatec it will still be your best option.

We can also not comment on the timeline but rest assured that we are already working full speed on this project and try to start the approval process already this year. How long it takes is out of our control.

Oh yes, that makes 100% sense, I remember now when I checked out the livery editor there was the wheel selection option.

Thanks so much for clearing this!

Guys looking for some advice, thinking of getting the game but wonder if it's right for me? I don't do online racing just mainly single player v A.I in races or single time attack I've heard you need to be online to play? Thanks for any help in advance

You don't need to be online to play but you do need to be online to save your progress. The main mode of GTS is Sport mode which is fully online racing against other users you are matched with through a pretty robust matchmaking system.

The single player modes are Arcade mode which allows you to set up races against the AI, do time trials, drift trials, 2p battles, etc. You don't need to be online to use this mode. The other single player mode is Campaign (it's not as big as it's sounds), this features licence tests and circuit experience events. PD have said they will add more campaign events after release. And finally there is Scapes mode which allows you to place your car in real world locations (high resolution photographs of famous places) and take pictures of them.

If it was me and I didn't have internet or had no interest in playing on line then I personally wouldn't think the game was for me.

This song is so cool. It totally sounds like a MGS2 music. So much that I actually feel like I'm playing it, it really creates the athmosphere.

Thought the exact same whilst playing. Best GT Game OST for sure. I still hope this one is still in the main Game? It was in the Closed Beta: Loved It.

I don't think so. I don't even remember hearing it in the menu's of the closed beta. I do remember it was in a much earlier build that dates back to 2016 when GTPlanet recorded some gameplays only to get removed later.

More tracks and cars confirmed. We just need to know the DLC plan.

He is very active on Twitter these days.

And he often retweets several comments including ones that says it's better than Forza...etc type of comments. :P

It looks like myself and my brother are the only ones that can't preload the game and it says it will unlock in 76 days ?? What the hell is that.... ?

Auto-download says 28/12/2017. We both ordered our copies during the E3 2016 when it was announced. Sony is killing me sometimes.
It says the same thing in Canada for the base game but the preload of the deluxe edition just started

Edit: It only downloaded the bonus avatars/car packs and when I click on them, it opens the Beta... So no need to download the game?

I had a look at those 60 avatars and I noticed that someone at Polyphony or Sony can't spell.

Need some opinions from people with wheels. Looking to get a wheel for GT sport don't know what to get. I was originally planning on getting the box that allows older wheels to work on ps4 but my old wheel ( it was a Logitech driving force GT so nothing special ) is Abit of a health risk after being stored in the loft for the past 4 years. Reliability and price are what will ultimately come down to me making a choice as I won't be able to afford for atleast 5 months. So what would you lot recommend to get?

Gran Turismo events a.k.a cars which are not in game

I was going to say isn't that a DB11? Polyphony getting are hopes up for new cars already...
