Im referring to the fact that those who end up unwrapping their copy of GTS on Christmas day likely won't be able to download any patches.
How does the fact that you can download the patch now help those who don't have the game yet?
He's referring to an incident in 2014 in which a group of hackers known as Lizard Squad took down PSN on Christmas Day in 2014, and the services were down until the 29th.It's highly likely that a patch for the steering will be released by Christmas so I'm not sure what you mean? Do the servers go down on Christmas day or something?

Do you know if it's been confirmed you can do events offline such as driving school, missions, etc.? I wouldn't worry about a dis if that's the case then.Well if it didn't happen in the years before or since, what are the chances it'll happen again this year? Doesn't sound worth worrying about for me. Sure there's a risk, but there's a risk of any internet connected device being hacked at any point in time, so what can you do?
EDIT: Ah, I see that's the exact point you were making.
My gamestop is doing a pick-up at 9 event. So in 30 more minutes(eastern time) I'll be able to grab mine! I don't see why your local gamestop wouldn't unless they don't get alot of foot traffic.I called my GameStop multiple times and no one responded. Hoping for a midnight release so I can download the patches while I go to my morning class tomorrow.
Yeah I called one last time and they said 9-9:30 for me. One of the guys that works at mine loves good racing games like PCars and GT. He's been satisfied with the releases this year for the genre. My gamestop is doing a pick-up at 9 event. So in 30 more minutes(eastern time) I'll be able to grab mine! I hope to see the track 'clean', without camping in this layout.I'm still waiting for my retail copy. Has anyone tried the tourist layout of Nordschlife already?

Heads up
Once you sign a contract with a manufacturer for the FIA GT series, you can't change it.
Any footage yet of the mileage exchange?

What do you mean?
Without the crowd of 24h layout. What do you mean?
that not fair

With the servers being down for days, it's probably worth mentioning this. When you get the notification that there's no server connection, you have two options.
While Arcade Mode is available offline, note that none of the unlocks, credits, or mileage will be saved, even locally.
- Immediately stop playing, if you value your progress (since the game will still let you take part in any campaign section you may have been in when connection ended).
- Continue playing, but make sure to not shut down the game until a connection can be re-established. Make use of the PS4's Rest Mode.
Praying that that is patched soon, preferably before the esports pre season or whatever in November.Actually, that would be the very definition of fair.
Apologies, but quoting myself here:
Don't ask me how I know.
lol mine did the exact same thing. Almost done downloading all of the files and updatesMy gamestop is doing a pick-up at 9 event. So in 30 more minutes(eastern time) I'll be able to grab mine! I don't see why your local gamestop wouldn't unless they don't get alot of foot traffic.
