Bet I couldn't do this again if I tried.

Will they ever make the map perspective better? The map in the top right that is static is too small, and it's hard to peak at and determine which type of turn is coming up... even worse, the map in your immediate hud that is dynamic is great, however it doesn't give you enough of a view ahead to determine what type of turn is coming up, especially if you're going very fast on a long straight.

I really wish they'd make this adjustment, especially for those of us who don't play as often. It'll really help new drivers as well. I come back and play after long periods and I'm misjudging corners at times. I could practice more obviously, but I remember them wanting to reach new drivers with GT Sport and this is an easy way to do that.

Driveclub is a super fast game, but the map was perfect. It was dynamic and laid out in a way so that you always know what turn is upcoming. Hopefully in the future it's adjusted!

These free updates are great and all, with some charismatic vehicles being added, but there aren't many new cars shall we say. Yes, we have the DB11, the P1 GT-R, Toyota Supra, Toyota Tundra, Super Formula, Mercedes F1, Dodge Charger Hellcat and Alpine A110, however we're still missing several current cars. It's strange because in GT3 and GT4, many current cars were included. Here's one example - the Audi RS6, Mercedes E55 and BMW M5 in GT4. None of the modern equivalents are in GT Sport and that's quite embarrassing. We need vehicles like the Mercedes C63, E63, S63, Audi RS3, RS4, RS6, R8, BMW M2, M6, McLaren 720S, 570S, Dodge Challenger Hellcat, Shelby GT350, Ferrari 488, F12 TDF, Aston Martin Vantage, Ford Focus RS, GT, Porsche 918, GT2 RS, 718 Cayman, Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZR1, Bugatti Chiron (I mean how haven't we got this one????), Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Bentley Continental, Cadillac CTS-V, Hyundai Veloster N, i30 N, etc. Heck, include the Jeep Trackhawk. These cars can't keep falling by the wayside for too much longer or the game will seem highly dated. PD should stop adding the Premium vehicles from GT6 for the sake of it and dedicate the resources to adding these new cars. They seem like obvious choices nowadays. I'm not saying that PD shouldn't add historically significant vehicles but there are a few cars in GT6 which simply aren't needed anymore. Replace them with modern counterparts instead.

This is a good idea and it's ideal because people won't have to think that PD is mostly adding cars from the previous titles, stopping them from believing that the game is somewhat outdated if that's the case.

However, PD will mostly point out that the problem with adding newer cars in the game would be because of licensing issues. And to be honest, I think that's ridiculous.

Still, given how much GT Sport has evolved recently with several DLC being delivered for free until now, it is better than nothing at all. But yes, they should pick modern counterparts of existing cars or any other welcomed additions that didn't become available in the older titles before.

Bias for the new is understandable, but PD has been choosing the classics wisely. So far none of them have been irrelevant to me.

Never said that they weren't justified.

Ok, my comment was a response to this part:

Yes, some of the cars in GT6 have arguably faded to irrelevance. However, it’s a non-issue because so far GTS has not added any forgettable cars from GT6.

Not an issue at the moment but I just hope the resources aren't being wasted on cars we don't want or need.

I have faith that PD will continue to choose the classic wisely. Ultimately, I think PD still feel they have some unfinished business in terms of upgrading various GT6 cars to 4K. Once that hurdle is more or less out of the way, more noteworthy cars from recent years could start appearing, possibly clashing with the release of the next GT game. In that case, perfect timing.

Can I know which cars can be deemed forgettable from GT6? Somehow, I can mostly think of duplicates.

Any suggestions on the best GT League events based on fun factor and competitiveness? I've done 3 or 4, but from what I remember I just pull away.

I'll limit this to premium cars...

2006 Aston Martin DB9 Coupe
The 2008 DBS stole the spotlight and should replace this.

2008 Audi RS6 Avant
Has aged to the point where it should be replaced by a newer RS6 model.

2007 Jaguar XK Coupe Luxury
GT6 has two XKR models that are more worthy of revival.

2006 Ferrari 599 Fiorano
Too clumsy compared to the vastly improved 599 GTO version.

2007 Mazda Atenza Sport 25Z
Not a classic and GTS already has a newer model.

2002 Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG
Doesn't stand out in history and should be replaced by a newer and better alternative from AMG.

2006 Nissan Skyline Sedan 350GT Type SP
For GTS it would make more sense to bring back the Infiniti G35 and Skyline Coupe 370GT. For a direct replacement PD should consider the new Skyline sedan.

2007 Suzuki Cervo SR
No comment. PD should try to add the new Suzuki Swift Sport.

Used car dealership? They are already premium so it would be a mistake if we don't see them back. Anyway, I play GT to drive a 2007 Suzuki Cervo SR, not the latest random supercar.

First off.. I don't log into these forums much anymore.. so forgive me in advance for asking an annoying question.

Is there a forum related to news on the next Gran Turismo installment?

Yet you'd prefer the Cervo for GTS? I'm confused.
I'm confused that you're taking my words too seriously. I know for a fact that Poly is very bad when it comes to the latest cars, like adding the Honda Fit from 2014 . I would love to drive the newest Koenigsegg in GT but I know it won't happen and fortunately I play Forza too. Look at the July update: only old cars with no CAD sources. It should be easier to add the last Audi RS6 thanks to CAD data, yet Poly added a Honda S600. Maybe Poly will keep all these modern cars for GT7.

I'm thinking we'll still see majority of cars from 2016, 2017, 2018 and a few more from 2019. Cars from 2020, would most likely be the 2020 GR Supra GT500 and maybe the C8.

We only have a few from 2017 and 2019 in GTS, with most cars based around the time before the game debuted. Just be prepared for GTX not getting majority of cars newer than 2018.

The joke wasn't obvious to begin with. I said I'd prefer the new Swift Sport over the old Cervo SR, after all.

True, which is exactly why I pointed out the few specific models PD I don't think should bother brining back (at least not in their GT6 trim). Because we all know this is the path they largely have been following for GTS DLC.

A reminder that PD are still stuck on the Ferrari 458 when said car is, as of 2019, two generations old.

This game came out in 2017. Come on...

Not yet, no.

We post what we know about the next GT, when it comes up, on our news area. There's odd bits and bobs, but aside from the fact it's being worked on and is planned to be a kind of 'best-of', there's not a huge amount of info and not that much to discuss as a result.

Happy new owner of a supercar :P

Plus jamais a la queue leu leu...

Désormais toujours en tête de queue... :sly: ;)

👍

Nice car buddy, can you please show us more? Although this is not a thread but a new car day is worthy enough...

With this car, you never will be again having to in the back of traffic lines... :embarrassed:
