I don't get the Mike Hype at all from GT fans, because one guy can't change a thing if the team is incapable of doing what he wants and at Turn 10 guys like Nik, Chase and Adam let the magic happen.

Well, so far, from what has been said, my most valued and prioritised aspect of gaming, the graphics, are seeming very promising. So far I am as happy as can be

It'll be interesting to see what is meant by "the sounds are the same as GT6"... the same as the "old style", sample based audio, or the "new style" synthesised AES audio, as featured on the VGTs and other DLC cars?

If it's the latter, I would be reasonably happy with that. The former, not so much...

If the physics are only slightly upgraded from GT6 in terms of realism I will be fine with that. I am not expecting GTS to rival Assetto Corsa or PCars in that respect. However, it will be disappointing if the sound is on the same low level as GT6 but not overly surprising.

About sounds, I await opinion of players playing with a headset and on a real circuit (not an oval).

It will probably not the best but I'm confident they have progressed.

Don't worry people find an excuse. Like PS4 just isn't powerful enough, wait for the PS4k to hear the improved sounds. In earnest i'll wait until we get direct feed footage to judge the sounds, but i don't except forza let alone race room level of sounds.

Will we be getting coverage of events and things over the course of the day, or will we be waiting for the stream before we get any news? Just because I know there will be things like the qualifying session, and the press conference that will be happening during the day, but the actual livestream will contain a new trailer and only edited highlights of the day's proceedings, before the FIA championships will be broadcast live.

I swear their is a small Mazda logo on the 'speedometer' on the left, could it be the interior of the LM55 VGT? I probably am pulling at straws here, but that is what it looks like to me

There's...some scope to post news prior to the stream but as I'm sure @Jordan would confirm, Sony have took the necessary procedures to stop news getting out until they deem it fair. I Won't go into specifics as I'm not sure just how much can be told but the majority of information could come in the stream. Conversely, there's also the potential for stuff to be reported before it although not incredibly early.

Just got first impressions from "melvyn" (the guy who posted the videos) over snapchat:

"Very good graphics
Visually ecxellent
Audio on the game is much better than gt6
So far i have only raced on an oval track
So didnt really get to test the handling as well as i liked but will be able to do so today?"

user realistictalks on Snapchat has two videos that you can see multiple pods racing, and can hear a bit of the sound too, lots of tire squeal, similar to GT6's squeal

EDIT one of the videos shows a glimpse of what was most likely "the oval track". Looks like a wider, asphalt Bristol almost.

I don't think i should add random strangers on Snapchat...
