Gran Turismo Sport Livery Thread and Discussion! (Read Original Post!)

Finally I have been able to find the time to write this post. As you might have seen, I have already posted a picture of the livery I have created for the BMW M6 GT3 in this thread. I used this car a lot when the game was newly released, but it was lacking in pace so I stayed loyal to the brand and made the switch to the BMW Z4. Although the M6 got quite popular recently, I stuck to the Z4 because of its drivability and because I really like the way it looks with my 2018 style livery applied to it. However, after reading a lot about the BMW M8 GTE and its participation in the Daytona 24h I wanted to apply the livery that is inspired mainly by this car to the M6.

The result is pretty rad looking in my opinion. Because of its size the M6 is already an impressive appearance and I think these liveries underline its potential even more. In contrast to the Z4 GT3 and the BMW VGT, not all black parts of the car are matte decals. Some parts have been left uncovered to reveal the carbon structure (e.g. grill, roof, side skirts). There are three different versions of the M6 available. The #6 car has green accents, the #13 car has pink accents and the #94 car is a more pure version with carbon mirrors and without additional color touches on the front or back (Regarding the numbers: #6 because it is a M6; #13 because the M6 is internally called F13; #94 because I was born in 1994).

That was expensive, but it is totally worth it !

I’ve made the Silk Cut XJR9 Le Mans winner on the newly added XJ13. I think it turns out pretty well...

That's some quick clean work, it seems to busy to me on the car but that is probably because it has such nice lines on it's own.

I had this idea when they announced the January cars, so I made a favourite file with all the decals I needed. Luckily, I also already had 19M Cr., so it was « easy » to buy it. I spent about 3 hours on the shapes, and I agree that the car is really beautiful on its own. But I tried my best to recreate the closest livery I can without denaturing the XJ13 lines.
 
Hey livery folks. Just a quick question, I’m doing a rather simple replica of the 1998 Viper GTSR GT2 Edition and anyone notice how insanely difficult it is to get any decals next to the “Viper GTS” emblem on the side?

That whole area of the car is considered the hood and I’m having next to no luck situating the “R” decal next to it. Frustrating to say the least:ouch:

Select the hood then select align with camera then swivel the camera around to the side of the hood or where ever you want the decal to go. Then select the decal and it will be placed on your target location

I finally got around to finishing my AF Corse Ferrari 458. I started it a while ago and had most of the colours in place with random sponsors while I was waiting for the livery editor to upload the other bits I needed... then forgot about it!

It's based on their 2015 LM GTE livery. They seemed to move some elements about a bit over time, and since this is based on a few photos, it's probably a combination of them all. The only thing I haven't bothered with is the race number, since I'll use it in Sport and League and it'll always end up with a regular GT number panel.
