Gran Turismo Sport Livery Thread and Discussion! (Read Original Post!)

Here's a livery I made for our SNAIL Racing League. I like to take a realistic approach to things. I will re-use all decals used on the default version but include those related to our league. This means one for SNAIL, GTPlanet, and two companies that are affiliated with us for peripherals, GranStand and ButtKicker.

Dang it, I just now realized I don't have my driver name on there. The GranStand and ButtKicker decals are on the back but maybe I should put them on the side as well? Only good spot is under the grey SNAIL banner?

This is almost an art car... It looks awesome !

Question, unless I'm missing something, where is the color silver?

You have to buy the special colours with "Miles" in the Mileage Exchange each week. Until you get the one you find good, your only choice is "metallic" grey from the colour palette...

Ah, so based on your miles it's eventually released. Got it. Thanks.

Thanks. Its just a cool pattern blown up and mirrored on both sides. My theme is blue with white accents but I couldn't think of anything that good so went with a pattern instead. I need more blue abstract patterns

Started something yesterday as I found the side design of the BTCC Primera in the discovery section. I'm not 100% happy with it atm tho.
Thoughts?

Looks pretty good to me, sometimes I think the livery designer is a great evil I should not have started with, I keep starting projects from
seeing others work and never getting to finish them off.

Thanks for that, but I didn‘t want to have it the Primera logo as it‘s a Subaru :D it just drew inspiration from it. I‘m just not sure about the number and the sponsor decals

I believe from a Google search the cars had door numbers 6 and 23 if that is any help with Autotrader sponsers above the door number
and Vodafone were the main hood sponsors.

I know that, too. But I want to create something new and not just do another replica-ish thing :D
There is just something with it that bugs me, but idk what :boggled:

Yesterday I suddenly had a 💡 moment... :scared: yes it scared me too :nervous: But I thought it would be a nice idea to make a livery based on my helmet design, as we can’t (yet?) make helmet liveries/designs so why not apply this to the car itself instead :)
I gave it a little N24 twist and tried to keep it as clean/simple as possible as my helmet design is, but a car needs sponsor logos I guess, so I put a few on, although they’re not related to my helmet design in any way. And now I think of it, the car has no helmet related sponsor logos on it at all  oh well...

And a (crappy) picture of how my helmet design looks:

I went to the London Motor Show yesterday, and amongst them was a stand for the company Lister. I haven't heard of them for a long time, since the Storm; an old favourite of Gran Turismo players.

They had a Jaguar F-type which they've tuned up. Its called the Thunder and is a 666bhp 'devil'. Coincidentally, my daily prize today was a Jaguar, gr4, so I decided to put a quick livery together based on the one I saw yesterday.

My first "real" attempt to make good-lookin' livery. My inspiration was Formula One Benetton Alfa Romeo livery from mid 1980's. Here's the link to download.

Wow really cool  I got one „complaint“ tho, a Gr.4 car can‘t have the GT300 SuperGT number boards ;) Maybe swap them for Super Taikyu ones?

I must admit that I hesitate to do that too ;). It is fully Sport mode friendly so I can also put the standard number on it. But Super Taikyu is a nice idea, I will make it from 2017 so the Yokohama sponsorship will go with the tires...

Should be in the ST-Z or ST-1 category then. Sport Mode compatible always is a good thing, but with the regular GT numbers the liveries always loose something from their autheticy.
