Haven't posted an official time yet. Hoping to improve but it seems I'm stuck with what I've I already done. At the point of trying to hard and overdriving the car resulting in slower laps.:banghead::banghead::banghead: :boggled:

Yeah that can happen with this car so easily, such a balance between overdriving and taking it too easy, try brake balance +1 or 2 rear and make sure you max the rpm out 1:10 is a good base to start from, have you seen what your best sectors would add up to?

No worries mate it isn't as straightforward or obvious as it should be, maybe they will implement an ingame way eventually. Nice time btw

I wouldn't say that - it was nip and tuck all week, plus your first time was that quick i wasn't even sure if you had the right settings in :lol: anyway loved the battle dude:cheers:

Sorry about the delay, been so busy I haven’t had a chance to check GTP or even get my own lap in. Next round is a German combo with the BMW Z8 at Nurburgring GP.
 
Looks like I’ve got the first time in, although I imagine it’s awful compared to what everyone else’s will be

Had a few laps in the Z8 tonight.. here's my opener for now and made a video incar view first and then out car view to show the boundaries with no short cuts and no cones injured by me :D it's slippy but a fun test.. GL guys! 👍

Like the track but never driven the z8, plus not much time to get used to it so may not be my best week.

But still, should be fun :)
 
Got an hour to play with before 2nd shift this afternoon, 10 to 15 laps and I'm down to 2:17.705

Won't upload the replay just yet as their is more time to come in the next 30 minutes hopefully :)

So so easy for the rear to slide in this thing,
Its the complete opposite of the integra last week!

Edit - there was more time, 2:17.468

I'm finding it really really oversteer happy, super easy to break traction :scared:

In the slow turns I found the tail sliding out real easy but overall I found it an enjoyable car to drive.
 
Torquey engine, light chassis and low grip...what could go wrong right :lol:

I love the car and track I'm just not very fast, can't make myself use the track limits as much as everyone else.

Having spent 25-30 years in real road racing I have a mental block against doing that. :crazy: If you curb hop like that in real life your suspension is going to fail. :banghead:

That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Its a good story! Tbf it should probably also upset the car more than it does, but no game has perfect to real life physics i guess, just got to drive to what we've got.

Thanks @Sphinx - sometimes it can just be a line in one corner or something that makes a huge difference, I'll have a video up later

I just did a 2:17.273, but crossed a white line with 4 wheels so going to leave that one :confused:
And the cat has decided he should be sat on my knees to stop me driving lol

Edit - 2:17.031 :) That's me done I think.

Some great times everyone, congrats again to @Philtaylor17 for another win.

If you thought the Z8 was a tough car to drive this next round is even tougher, with the TVR Tuscan Speed Six at Brands Hatch.
