Ahh, I hope this doesn't negatively affect the sportsmanship of the GTWS races. I always found them more clean and enjoyable compared to regular sport mode. Hope it doesn't get even more sweaty in there 😬

Interesting that Mexico is being moved to North American servers but Central American countries aren't.
Updates to DR are interesting as well. I wonder if they're doing that because during the WS races so many people are so close in DR that there isn't much a swing in either direction regardless of where you finish.

For limiting DR in Daily races, most people with over 80k Driver Rating will create an alternate account if they want to race in Daily Races. It's unfortunate, but it is otherwise way too risky to do it on your main account if you want to preserve your Driver Rating. You can lose about 2000 DR by finishing last or disconnecting from a daily race, or gain only 50 DR if you win it.
As for increasing the maximum DR, in Europe especially (due to player base size), there are so many drivers at close to 100k DR that winning a second split race can award more championship points than finishing 2nd or 3rd in top split (which contains more top drivers). In official seasons this is a really unfair phenomenon. Hypothetically (
) if you had 100k DR but were not likely to win a top split championship race, you could also (as per previous point) enter a few daily races, deliberately finish last and drop enough DR to ensure you would be in Split 2... where you would have a much better chance of gaining those championship points you needed to qualify for a live event. This is not so much of a problem when the DR limit is increased... until a lot of drivers reach the new limit, but that should take a few years.In summary, these are all good changes, in my opinion.

Most definitions of North America include everything exclusively on the North American Plate - which does include Cuba - so it's probably about right.
Belize is only mostly on it and Guatemala about half on it, but they're usually included in Central America along with other countries on the Caribbean Plate - the Caribbean (obviously), El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. I suspect that participation is relatively low and while I haven't looked at eligibility I can imagine it's patchy in that area, so it'd make sense to keep them in the Central and South America region.

In GT7, the main issue lies with the SR system, which is inconsistent and only works effectively around 70% of the time. To make the SR more meaningful, an optional "no-contact rule" should be introduced (like a few years ago in gt6 sport but better...). This rule could be enabled or disabled in the race penalty settings, alongside other options. Under this rule, any contact resulting in a significant change in direction or speed for either car involved would result in penalties for both drivers. At least one daily race should include this rule to cater to players who prefer a more realistic, clean racing experience.

I got my hopes up for a real change of format...but nope. Still the same 3 race format since GTSport with Gr.3 & Gr.4.
