What's your greatest fear? Personally I fear heights a lot. Spiders and the like never scared me. I'm not scared of much but for some reasons I can't stand heights.

Losing control of my bike on some of the hills I ride down. Last time I lost control was a few years back and I was doing something like 60 mph when I bailed on the gravel surface. That was not a pleasant experience

I also don't like insects for some reason. I hate it when they touch me, I hate looking at them, and I hate inhaling them when I'm out of breath while I'm riding my bike in the woods

For some reason insects never scared me one bit. I've had my fair share of bicycle crashes too. A long while back I crashed going quite fast down a hill into some gravel and have a huge scar. There were stones stuck in my skin, hurt pretty bad.

My greatest fear is having the same kind of marriage my parents have, if and when I get married that is.

Heights and some assorted creepy-crawlers are also kinda scary to me I guess.

Death. I dislike a lot of things, but pretty much the only thing I truly fear is death.

Falling to my death, so I guess heights would be my main fear, along with death. Can't stand heights, even while watching TV or playing video games. Oddly, flying is OK.

  • Not doing a good job at work.
  • Financial ruin.
  • Losing a limb(s)
  • Becoming horribly disfigured.
  • Drowning.
  • Burning to death.

All in that order, top to bottom. :)

Then don't get married. Take some sound advice, look around at the world and be amazed at the divorce rate. Are your parents only together "for the sake of the kids"? It's apparent that you already know they don't like each other, why begrudge everyones lives, when you can put the matter on the table, and talk some of it out.

Why fear the inevitable? It's a known fact that you're not getting out of this life alive, so accept the fact, plan for it, and live life.

My fears? Arachnophobia, claustrophobia, and heights. The loss of my eyes is a dread, but not a fear.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm afraid of. I'm far more afraid of losing a limb(s), eye(s), being horribly disfigured, or paralyzed than I am of dying. It seems strange, but I just don't fear death quite as much as that. Maybe it's because I believe in God (though I'm not very religious) and I just think that there's something better after life.

I don't really know.

Bugs and snakes are also quite unpleasant, but I wouldn't say I'm afraid of them. I just don't like them.

Ditto. But i also have a fear (sort of) of getting rejected from/about most things (applying for jobs, girls etc...).

Heights is probably the only significant one for me. And interestingly it only came on 5 years or so ago. Before that, I was a real daredevil.

My greatest fear isn't exactly death itself, but not knowing what happens after death. Heaven, reincarnation, waking up to realize your life was just a dream, etc or simply just dieing and life going on. I certainly hope it's not the former. :indiff:

Just thought about it, and I guess I fear getting my leg cut off, and never being able to walk again. Imagine not being able to walk.

My greatest fear is being lonely for the rest of my life, as living in a foreign country speaking a foreing language and weighing 110 kg at 2 metres, being a car and PC/PS2 addict doesn't really make things easier :indiff: .........

I fear depressions, being teased or humiliated in front of someone, some insects (bees :ouch: ) and dieing in a horrible way ( don't try to be rude, but dieing while racing a car doesn't count here)

Mainly heights, but I'm also afraid of what happens after you die. It's just that there isn't anything known about it that scares me. So I guess I'm scared of lack of knowledge, too, to put it broadly.

My greatest fear is probably vomiting. It's called Emetophobia and is one of the most common phobias in the world. Not a good one to have, either. :(
