It is very unlikely that they engaged eachother, but how they got so close to collide I have no idea.

One pilot must have tried to give the finger( or whatever that translates to in Greek or Turkish) and took his hand off the stick or just didnt pay enough attention to his close formation flying skills....or maybe it was a game of aerial chicken...or maybe they were showing each pictures of family...or maybe they were practicing in secret for the funniest home video's show ...
