Green Day-Three Album TrilogyMusic

So they are all here now and in my possession. I must say that whilst I haven't loved them on the first listens through after a couple of times I've begun to love them (bar Nightlife and Lady Cobra on ¡Dos!). What does everyone else think?

They have grown on me, especially iDOS!, of which Stray Heart and Lazy Bones are my favourites, plus it's a good album overall. UNO is good too, but not the same as dos. Yet to listen fully to Tre, but the bits I did listen to were good. I think they've done well with this trilogy, in spite of fears they wouldn't.

I have only been able to listen to Tre through once and to be honest it sounded pretty bad, it seemed alot more pop then even their uno and dos. X kids however I did like and have had on repeat. I hope it will grow on me when I listen to it again however so far I would say it has been the disapointment compared to the others.

Have yet to get Dos and Tre because Uno really disappointed me. I was hoping for some creativity, but all of the songs sound so similar. They don't play anything but 8th notes and three chords, and Tre plays the same beat he has for the past 15 or so years. Of course that is a generalization but I just hate thinkable of trying anything new.

Are Dos and Tre any different?

I like Uno, granted it took me a few listens to start liking it. I've tried getting into Dos but I just can't. I have only given Tre one listen through so the jury is still out on that one.

Are Dos and Tre any different?

If you didn't like Uno you probably won't like Dos or Tre, they all have a fairly similar sound and feel.

Sadly, Uno, Dos, and Tre made me shake my head with dissappointment. My first thought after listening to the trilogy was "Green Day: The horny midlife crisis years". Seriously, Billie Joe? **** Time? You can do SO much better than that! I've been a fan of Green Day my whole life (literally), and I still am, but with the release of this trilogy, I don't have much hope for the next Green Day album.
