Has anyone had any problems logging into Racenet from PS3? I can't access it from the Online or Racenet option. I have an account I have used in other games like Grid2 (briefly!)

I just wiped out heavily in a Formula C practice session at Mont-Tremblant. I ripped the nose clean off the front of the car, but strangely enough, half of my front wing remained in place, despite having nothing to attach it to the rest of the car.

Also, a driver's name has been mis-spelt: "Afonso Oliveira should be "Alfonso Oliveira".

When resuming my career mode not all of my difficulty settings are being saved.

When I first set up the difficulty level I choose no flashbacks but everytime I go back to my career the flashbacks are set to X5.

I can post the combination of the settings I'm using in the difficulty menu if this helps...

Are you doing custom cups outside the career seasons? I had that problem once - changes I made to the difficulty in a custom cup were being carried over to my career.

I did one custom cup after starting my career but the difficulty settings were just the same for both cup and career...

Hard
No assists
No flashbacks
X3 Race length

@anim8r_uk - I'm doing the Grid Grand Slam. I'm up to round four, the endurance race at Hockenheim. I just finished qualifying, and somehow Oakley's Gabriel Moreau qualified on pole with a time of 0:00.012 seconds.

About the settings not being saved when resuming your career, i didn't have any problem with that so i guess it's not a definite bug yet but could be related to how one works the menus. Gotta check that out in closer detail if possible.

Another sound bug; when the glass of your window breaks, the SFX of the glass hitting the floor (subtle), get's repeated over and over again, creating this weird repetitive sound. Had it happening a couple of times before but couldn't place it, but a few laps around Bathurst in a delta integrale gave me my "eureka!" moment :D

(edit: damn had to edit)

Hey @anim8r_uk that bug I found is repeatable so it may need looking at. I'm on PS3 and it seems if you total your car in practice, choose exit on the menu that shows crash details and go straight to qualifying the car will auto drive.

Spa is really buggy. That other day I was doing open wheel race and the AI cars just sat there on the grid. When I came around a lap later most of them are gone but 4 cars were still there. They stayed for the rest of the race. And just today I was about to qualify for an endurance race when I fell right thru the track. When I got reset my cars and all the other cars can't move. No buttons work either so I had to force quit the game.

Yeah, I found it, too, and I'm on the X360. Wiped out in practice for a Formula C event at Okutama Sprint B, quit because I only had about twenty seconds left, and had an auto-driving car in qualifying.

I restarted the game, and was able to qualify without problem.

I just had an odd one. It could be purely cosmetic, or it could be something deeper, so I'll tag @anim8r_uk in this post:

I'm doing the Pipercross GP series, the first Formula B event. I'm racing with Razer Motorsport, and in the first round at the Autosport GP course, Liqui Moly's Huang Yu Nan is my event rival. However, he is driving a Team Kicker car. By chance, I qualified alongside Kicker's Leo Turner, and he is racing a Liqui Moly car. His racing number - #17 - is correct; the livery is simply wrong. And as far as I can tell (he's too far in front of me), Kicker's Evan Kennedy is also driving the wrong car, which would mean Sarah Petit is in a Team Kicker car instead of a Liqui Moly.

Given that Turner has the correct number, I'm guessing it's just a mix-up with the liveries. But it is possible that the game is not recognising the drivers properly.

EDIT: Wrote the car off in an accident at the start of the second race. Huang and Petit are definitely driving Kicker cars. Had a better getaway at the restart, and saw Kennedy in a Liqui Moly car. I got close enough to see his number, and like Kennedy, it's the right one.

Well, it seems to be based on where you get hit as well. anim8r_uk was saying something about a shockwave running through the car on impact. You would need to take more hits from behind to get steering damage that to the front corner.

It is spelled correctly if he is Portuguese or Brazilian

Had the bug with the sound of shattered glass repeating itself again, it's so annoying you have to do a restart on your race to get it out of your head. Many here had it so far or am i the only one breaking minimum 1 window each race? :D

Edit: Just did a restart and i still hear it :ouch: .. Gonna have to quit to the menu to get rid of it.

I'm playing online with a really annoying glitch where drivers ( I think) are using flashbacks along the straight. It acts as a boost and when they turn from invisible, my car seems to crash. I have to completely dodge them and it's ruining the races. However, this could be my connection or something lol.

Also, what's the story with the odometer in the middle of the speedometer? I presume it is an odometer and the kilometres go up way too quickly. Maybe it's like every 50 metres or something, but it certainly isn't every km. Maybe it isn't an odometer because I'm surprised it isn't in the Op.

@Darragh I think my odometer works correctly and is presumably in miles like I have it set. I haven't tried to confirm it but it seems to count every tenth of a mile at about the rate I'd expect. Is yours perhaps counting tenths of a kilometer for the last digit?

Ok, I guess I might as well put what bugs I have come across on PS3 here even if it's not the official forum. Please bear with me, I know I'm always too verbose but I can't help it.

#1) I have managed to crash the game twice when I had some buttons mapped to both the Fanatec GT3 RS wheel and the DS3.

I thought I'd put nonessential controls that the game considers essential for things I never use like Flashbacks and the Camera Switch on the DS3 so I didn't hit them by mistake. However the game paused for a controller disconnect and then refused to accept any controller inputs after my DS3 powered down after being idle half an hour. This occurred while driving, nothing I tried doing(shutting off/restarting controller/wheel and switching which was #1/2) resulted in anything happening in the game(other than the controller disconnected message going away and returning to the pause menu).

It happened to me again when I tried switching my DS3 to controller #1 when viewing a replay, to see if it had better control of fast-forward and rewind. This resulted in the game immediately refusing to accept controller inputs and also could not be resolved. I don't remember now if the replay stopped playing or if it was even paused when I switched.

I imagine you are not supposed to have buttons mapped on both controllers(but then it shouldn't let you... then again you shouldn't be forced to only ever use the controller you start the game with), and after putting everything on the wheel I haven't had this issue reoccur.

#2) If I power down my wheel(probably happens with any disconnect) to walk away/watch TV for a while when the game is running and then come back and turn it back on, it loses all of my button mapping. This happens every time. The advanced settings stay the same but the buttons themselves reset to defaults.

#3) I did experience one crash when I tried exiting a replay to return to the post-race menu just as the replay was over and attempting to restart. The screen went black and nothing ever happened. This only happened once, although I have seen replays stop at the end without restarting once or twice for whatever reason.

#4) I also have had my flashbacks re-set to 5 when I always have them on zero. This happened after playing one series online which had the flashbacks set to Unlimited, and then trying one attempt at a RaceNet challenge. When I returned to career mode there were 5 available and I had to change it back after the race. None of my other settings were affected despite several others being changed in that online series.

#5) I think I've seen it mentioned somewhere that the AI can't drive at San Francisco, period. I can't confirm that but I can confirm that they are plain bonkers in Hot Hatches at SanFran Short B(I think that's the one). Very slow and virtually unable to run more than 1 lap without hitting a wall. That made for a pretty wild race, after the max 5X laps(why can you run longer in Career than in Custom?) there were only 6 finishers. Only about 7 made it to half-way. The end-of-race screen showed some rather interesting gaps since the DNF'ers finished 7 or more minutes before the rest of us lol. If they can't drive here, maybe it shouldn't be included in a championship?

Not sure if it was a bug or not but in practice for that San Francisco Short B race there was a car crashed right on the first lap of practice and it never got cleared up until I quit to the paddock and re-entered.

Other than that I've had just some occasional strange little things such as the radio guy(did I miss where his name was given? I tend to just call him Rob if anything ;) ) giving incorrect gaps or saying Nathan McKane is just near the back of the pack when he's actually out of the race and dead last(that SF race), getting pitched in an odd way off a curb(usually second-to-last corner at Brands), audio cutting out for an instant, volume changing(I thought that was just clipping from having the audio range on Low, but maybe not), and a slight overall stutter here and there - often when looking to the side or rear. The windshield wiper which I can't find a control for often runs one pass the first time I change views in a race, and also runs once at the end of the race if I haven't changed camera angles.

Oh, and Aaron Westley really shouldn't be able to hold off several people to finish 12th or 13th of 16 after he blew a rear tire on a RWD car with more than 15 minutes remaining in the race(and my teammate that couldn't catch him was only 6-7 seconds behind me at the time it blew and I passed Westley like he was walking), but then I suppose that's not a bug, just a silly decision because we have to have a boss team.

I have experience your bug #2 before, don't know how it happenned, just everything reset.
#4 is I think in online that it doesn't go back to the offline flashbacks.
bug #5, the AI got very aggressive last night playing Washington short, but I thought it was pretty cool!

Am I the only one who is witnessing the glitch online with people using flashbacks to act as a boost? Like, when it's on a straight, they use flashback and gives them a sort of jump of a couple of metres. Also, if the other player stops being invisible and I'm like overlapping him, my car like crashes. Sorry for like all the likes in that sentence!

In online Drift events, the "one-to-watch" pre-race driver highlight does not work as in other disciplines - instead of showing all cars lined up on the grid and then focusing on the star driver's car, the camera sits at the side of the track, simply showing all cars instead (I hope this makes sense lol). Also, the star-rating indicator does not disappear even during the post-race results.

Saw an odd one doing the Pipercross GP series at Spa-Francorchamps.

Ravenwest had an unusually poor showing at Autosport Raceway, qualifying in third and sixth for the race, before recording just one top-three finish - and one retirement - in the two races.

When the championship moved to Spa, they had a better performance. But something odd happened in the second race. One of K&N's drivers, Stefano Bruno, spun out of fourth place on the penultimate lap. I passed him, as did several others, and during my frequent use of the look-back function, I noticed that he started drunkenly weaving across the track as soon as he moved into eighth place. He would subsequently be passed again, at which point he would sober up ... until he moved into eighth. It happened along Radillion, and again through Blanchimont. This made no sense until the end of the race; Rick Scott won, and with Bruno finishing ninth, Scott was able to move into third place overall (behind Luka Schmid and Evan Kennedy). Similarly, it was enough to have Ravenwest win the teams' title.

I suspect that the glitch was tripped to guarantee a Ravenwest driver in the top three, and Ravenwest winning the teams' title.

Codies definitely killed the feel of Ravenwest, in Grid 1 you would be trying pretty hard and when they would show up on occasion you had to be flawless, they lost the surprise factor and now are just fixed to constantly win.

There may be another explanation - the AI is consistently pretty wild through Blanchimont. You want to be leading them, not following, because they tend to lose control and sideswipe anybody unfortunate enough to be on the racing line when they rejoin.

I have also noticed that while Ravenwest tend to dominate in Tier 1, with maybe one other very competitive team, the number of very competitive teams increases in Tier 2 - and they can be competitive enough to beat Ravenwest. In Tier 1 Open-Wheel races, Ravenwest dominate and Kicker are competitive. In Tier 2, however, K&N are both competitive and extremely consistent, while Kicker remain just as good. After all, Rick Scott only came third in that championship - Kennedy won, and Schmid was second.
