Darragh I think my odometer works correctly and is presumably in miles like I have it set. I haven't tried to confirm it but it seems to count every tenth of a mile at about the rate I'd expect. Is yours perhaps counting tenths of a kilometer for the last digit?
Ok, I guess I might as well put what bugs I have come across on PS3 here even if it's not the official forum. Please bear with me, I know I'm always too verbose but I can't help it.
#1) I have managed to crash the game twice when I had some buttons mapped to both the Fanatec GT3 RS wheel and the DS3.
I thought I'd put nonessential controls that the game considers essential for things I never use like Flashbacks and the Camera Switch on the DS3 so I didn't hit them by mistake. However the game paused for a controller disconnect and then refused to accept any controller inputs after my DS3 powered down after being idle half an hour. This occurred while driving, nothing I tried doing(shutting off/restarting controller/wheel and switching which was #1/2) resulted in anything happening in the game(other than the controller disconnected message going away and returning to the pause menu).
It happened to me again when I tried switching my DS3 to controller #1 when viewing a replay, to see if it had better control of fast-forward and rewind. This resulted in the game immediately refusing to accept controller inputs and also could not be resolved. I don't remember now if the replay stopped playing or if it was even paused when I switched.
I imagine you are not supposed to have buttons mapped on both controllers(but then it shouldn't let you... then again you shouldn't be forced to only ever use the controller you start the game with), and after putting everything on the wheel I haven't had this issue reoccur.
#2) If I power down my wheel(probably happens with any disconnect) to walk away/watch TV for a while when the game is running and then come back and turn it back on, it loses all of my button mapping. This happens every time. The advanced settings stay the same but the buttons themselves reset to defaults.
#3) I did experience one crash when I tried exiting a replay to return to the post-race menu just as the replay was over and attempting to restart. The screen went black and nothing ever happened. This only happened once, although I have seen replays stop at the end without restarting once or twice for whatever reason.
#4) I also have had my flashbacks re-set to 5 when I always have them on zero. This happened after playing one series online which had the flashbacks set to Unlimited, and then trying one attempt at a RaceNet challenge. When I returned to career mode there were 5 available and I had to change it back after the race. None of my other settings were affected despite several others being changed in that online series.
#5) I think I've seen it mentioned somewhere that the AI can't drive at San Francisco, period. I can't confirm that but I can confirm that they are plain bonkers in Hot Hatches at SanFran Short B(I think that's the one). Very slow and virtually unable to run more than 1 lap without hitting a wall. That made for a pretty wild race, after the max 5X laps(why can you run longer in Career than in Custom?) there were only 6 finishers. Only about 7 made it to half-way. The end-of-race screen showed some rather interesting gaps since the DNF'ers finished 7 or more minutes before the rest of us lol. If they can't drive here, maybe it shouldn't be included in a championship?
Not sure if it was a bug or not but in practice for that San Francisco Short B race there was a car crashed right on the first lap of practice and it never got cleared up until I quit to the paddock and re-entered.
Other than that I've had just some occasional strange little things such as the radio guy(did I miss where his name was given? I tend to just call him Rob if anything
) giving incorrect gaps or saying Nathan McKane is just near the back of the pack when he's actually out of the race and dead last(that SF race), getting pitched in an odd way off a curb(usually second-to-last corner at Brands), audio cutting out for an instant, volume changing(I thought that was just clipping from having the audio range on Low, but maybe not), and a slight overall stutter here and there - often when looking to the side or rear. The windshield wiper which I can't find a control for often runs one pass the first time I change views in a race, and also runs once at the end of the race if I haven't changed camera angles.
Oh, and Aaron Westley really shouldn't be able to hold off several people to finish 12th or 13th of 16 after he blew a rear tire on a RWD car with more than 15 minutes remaining in the race(and my teammate that couldn't catch him was only 6-7 seconds behind me at the time it blew and I passed Westley like he was walking), but then I suppose that's not a bug, just a silly decision because we have to have a boss team.
