As Clarkson said of the XFR " I'm not going to say its better than an M5 - but its as good as, and praise doesnt come any higher than that."

QFT

I went with the M5 since I'm basing my choice on what almost everyone else has said is a better driver's car. It was sort of ugly when it first came out, but to be honest, I think it has aged quite well, and there are plenty of new cars that I think are way uglier, chintzier and cheesier. And knowing me, I would pick the BMW anyways.

I wouldn't want the Audi; If I wanted a cruising luxo-barge, the E55 is better in almost every way, except for the AWD factor. But then, I wouldn't go with the E55 since if I paid that much for the AMG already, all I would be able to think of is that I DIDN'T get the E63, which sounds more like God's fury and is even faster and more ridiculous. Would I take a E63 AMG over the M5? Probably.

Oh, and make that the E63 estate.

Another very valid question is the choice between the soon to be released M5, the latest RS6, a E63 AMG and, interestingly, the XFR.

I would be very tempted by the XFR... and M5 again.

I'm really surprised by the lack of fanfare for the AMG. I fear that the E63 was so much better that no one really remembered the E55. Maybe the AMG models only appeal to a certain type of person...

As I said before, the way they get to the speedlimiter is much the same so it comes down to handling. I have always loved the 55 engine, in the SL the SLK, so probably this as well. My major gripe with it though, and every merc is while they are great in a straight line and pack enough handling and speed into a car as I could handle, but when you turn the TCS off, it isnt properly off. There is still a computer limiting something, be it the brakes or whatever, that is still ruining the fun and needlessly wearing itself out.

Well... If we're factoring in the F10 M5, I'd have to go with the M5 again. I've never been a big fan of Jaguar's design. And while I'd pick the E63 and the current RS6 over the E60 M5, the new F10 looks really good, so far.

And, well, it's a BMW, so I guess it'll end up being a driver's car once again.

Thw little brothers' grudge match would be nice as well... RS5 vs. C63 vs. M3...

But this time it's the Audi with a twinturbo V10 whereas the rest have.. What, twinturbo V8's? And as soon as the new M5 will be released, news about broken fancy diffs start to leak in.. Again.

Y'know what...do this again, but do the previous generation's cars. I think that rivalry was more interesting.

and who cares about the current Audi's V10? That's just two extra cylinders to go wrong. (and it's not a truck engine, it IS an Audi...wow. I downright hate it.)

((;3))
