GT '05 vs GT '05 no stripe

The standard model no stripe is known for it's top speed since it's faster than the "non-no stripe" models.
This includes standard AND premium as well as the LM models.
It also has low PP for it's actual performance.

TL;DR Ford GT no Stripe is the obvious choice for drag if you like Ford GT.
But it's also a noob tool as well as the CIEN, Enzo, Veyron etc...

Think about what you've said.
If you don't see it, then I would like to invite you to join the lobbies with people I usually drag with. Call them noobs and prove your point then..... or .....

Noob=/=newbie in all situations...
you know why used that word? Because 99% of the people using said cars are noobs and not pros.

Believe me, I know what a "noob" is.

You spoke in general, and now you're trying to get your head out.
And I don't think that the percentage is that high.

So you're one of those that use said cars and tries to make yourself sound less targeted.
Go to the "what is the fasted car for X" and you'll see the horde of noobs that simply want the fastest car instead of actually trying different cars.

Drag in GT5 is boring because of this.

Well, yes, I'm using those cars. But not only, and even if I were, it wouldn't be bad. All of the good tuners I know have tuned them. I guarantee you, those people aren't noobs.
And if everyone would want to drive the fastest car, they definitely wouldn't chose a Ford GT, ACR or similar. They would drive X1, race cars or maybe a Veyron.

Calling all users of those cars noobs, and therefore probably every "pro" tuner, is a joke!
Maybe you just don't like them because you can't keep up? No? Well, at least it seems so when I read your posts.

A noob with a fast car isn't worse nor better than a noob with a slow car. (same for the good tuners)

Actually, there is alot of people tuning a wide variety of cars for drag, making for some interesting match-ups. You just have to drag with the right people. Many of my friends have well over 100 cars tuned for drag(not referring to the hundreds of variants of skylines either). Most noobs use the gtr, gtr black, gtr tc, etc. A good tuner will use these cars as well, but only against others. A noob buys and maxes out these cars with no knowledge of tuning, relying solely on the cars superiority to obtain victory over ANY other car on the track. Just bring out what car you want to race in and I guarantee that if there is a good tuner in the room they will pull theirs out and race with you.👍

The only bragging rights I've ever personally witnessed, are car specific; making your entire point invalid. I'm sure you can find and create some good cross-car combos, but it will always end with single car/singe tune superiority that matters most.

You have a more mature and solid view of it, unlike dr_slump.
I don't like using those cars since it's boring.
What more boring than a Enzo drag?

Drag racing with cars people rarely use is more fun since that's when un heard sleepers raise.

Bring out X2010/2011? How embarrassing...

I'd almost tend towards the striped version for track use; the striped and '06 GTs have 10 front downforce, the No-Stripe and '02 have 0.

The theoretical result is the striped and '06 being slightly better in the twisties, with the No-Stripe being faster on straights.

In short, for drag you want a No-Stripe. For circuit races, well, it depends on the circuit.

First look at yourself.

If you're trying to be funny or simply trying to defend yourself or lastly, because I have a Ford GT LM car on my avatar you're still not getting it.
:indiff:
No, you don't get it because I'm not talking about your avatar.
And no, I'm not trying to be funny.

With look at yourself, I meant you should reread your previous posts, and then see them in context with the last (now second last) one.

What is it you want to bring up then...

Ok, tell me. What's more immature. Pointing fingers like this:

You have a more mature and solid view of it, unlike dr_slump.

Or simply stating that just because one uses X car ≠ A noob. Which was what dr_slump was saying.

You just don't see the irony of your statement that doc is 'immature'. Thing is, name calling and finger pointing like the example above is far more immature than what he did, which was hardly in any way immature. That's what dr_slump meant.

My views of it, anyway.

The immature part.

That is IF I said all.

You know full well that when the low-level herd got free X2010 the pros lost in sheer number.
You can drive whatever you want, but you'll be using the cars most noobs do.
You might be lucky to have joined rooms where people actually knows how to use cars.
But in the end you'll still use those limited cars I listed most of the time.

Those rooms I found has the following scenario:

Choosing Enzo/GT-ONE/CIEN/X2010/X2011/Veyron = crashing into people.
Choosing ANY other car that is equal in power to their lack of skills = less crashes since they can handle the cars.

Not?

Not really.

Because the majority does.

Yes, I was that lucky. And yes, I use the cars you listed, but also others.

Why am I not surprised that you list the X1? In the lobbies where I usually are, you'd get kicked for driving X1.
For the other cars, no! The people I drag with know how to drive a car....daily practise!

You see, It's a matter of your room choice. And obviously, you joined the wrong lobbies.

That is IF I said all.

You implied everyone here.

Noob=/=newbie in all situations...
you know why used that word? Because 99% of the people using said cars are noobs and not pros. .

99% of people…that's nearly everyone.

Making false and exaggerated generalities like '99% of the people using said cars are noobs not pros' when those who are more than capable of beating the actual noobs who just slap parts on are bigger in their numbers than you make out (much bigger, as the number of good and pro tuners are increasing).

No. Any good drag room would have had you out of the room before you even got to the tunnel or drag strip.
Nope. The 1/4 rooms I enter all run Imprezas and Evos and muscle cars.
Nope. Pros run cars like the MP4-12C the last time I checked.

Try joining rooms with "Pro" in the name then. But if you do, let it be known that those guys are just a bunch of elitist arses.

I made the experience that it's more pleasant when I open a room with "noob" in the name. No joke! :)
The people who join may not be the best, but in most cases they're nice guys.

 Yea…but have you been dragging Temetias lately? How's he doing these days? I haven't dragged him in…well, since the summer! Have you dragged his RX7 yet? :D

Little arse…I thought he was with his RX7 and Viper…bug the hell out of him to bring out the RX7, it was quite a fast one from my previous encounters with it…

I envy your luck with rooms and users.
Here, the only rooms with at least 4/5 connection/quality are filled with noobs that crash and uses said cars.
