GT 4.5 instead of GT 5?

I want empty plastic beer cups to blow into the track by dynamic wind and be picked up on my NASCAR's front grille, forcing my car to overheat and lose me the race. I WANT REALISM IN MY SIMULATOR, WTF PD.

Sarcasm I hope :scared:

I'm worry about some info i'm being reading these early moments; But for me GT5 sound more like GT 4.5.

I'm refering about the old tracks and cars.

I know is 65% done but I think is a bit late to be 65% complete.

Also we should see new features and cars, but how much 20% ????

Excuse my english...
Don't like it? Don't buy it.

Kazunori Yamauchi
"We can implement day and night cycles if we wanted, we just want to know if it would make GT5 better as a whole."

Well Yamauchi-san - it would.

Please include rain and night racing in GT5 - you told Gameblog and JVN that you are already going to - so what's the problem? :sly:

Features GT5 will have, that GT4 didnt:

- Online
- Damage (visual and mechanical)
- visual tuning
- drift events
- new Physicsengine
- more cars
- NASCAR and WRC
- GTTV
- better visuals
- photomode with 8 mega pixel pictures (source: NeoGaf)
- Youtube video upload
- pit crew

Possible changes:
- weather
- day and night cycles

Well sounds enough for me. PD does not have to change everything, since GT4 was good and GT5 just improves on certain things.

if this all will be implemented for me this GT will nont be 4,5 but would be gt6:tup:

I dont see how it can be called GT4.5

I'll add

- Ferrari
- Lamborghini
- Bugatti
- Cockpit view
- more then two times the amount of cars on track
- Vehicle rollover
- Properly modeled hybrids and electric cars
- Real Formula 1 car
- Ability to turn off ABS
- Realtime adjustments to TC etc
- Improved collision physics, no more bumper cars
- Online
- Damage (visual and mechanical)
- visual tuning
- drift events
- new Physicsengine
- more cars
- NASCAR and WRC
- GTTV
- better visuals
- photomode with 4 times FullHD pictures (source: NeoGaf)
- Youtube video upload
- pit crew

Possible changes:
- weather
- day and night cycles
- tire tempature
- custom soundtracks

tire temperature is confirmed

nascar, weather changes, 850 cars, wrc, damage, i mean jeez

nascar? i love the series, but, is that, another series, more for the sales.

WRC? we already have WRC cars, like Citroen Xsara Rally Car? old Focus?

850 cars? yes the same Viper GTS-R Team Oreca, Mercedes-Benz 190E Evolution II 90, DTM Alfa Romeo 155 V6, Opel Calibra DTM Race Car!!
You know, and if you dont, those cars are from GT2?(correct me if im wrong)

The new thing is damage and weather.

Dont get me wrong, thats what i wont, GT4 with amazing graphics, cockpit and damage:grumpy:

You're exactly right. we should have NONE of the cars from GT4...

oh wait...

Obviously this will be different enough tobe called/considered GT5,

But on a side note why is pit crews in the new feature list considering it was a fairly big new feature in GT4, is it becasue its not in Prologue that most people have forgotten it?

http://www.supercheats.com/wallpape...0x1200&dir=1600x1200&file=granturismo4-02.jpg

Its completely animated pit crews with even more mechanics arround the car. And as far as we can tell from the Vision GT trailer and the E3 trailer there might be pit crews for all the cars on thrack, even for the ai cars.

I think its a big improvement.

But i guess you are right, many people tend to forget what we allready have in Gran Turismo and what we might be getting.
I forgot to add the cockpit view to my list, because i got so used to it in GT5 Prologue, that i almost forgot that i was missing it in GT1-4.
Just like i got used to racing against 16 cars on track. You dont notice it until you play games that have less cars on track. I mean Shift has up to 12?! or something and its ok, but driving against 8 cars or even less feels so wrong.

GT5 will be big, it will add so many things to the series, that i would consinder calling it a revolution to the series. They keep whats good and add the things the fans always wanted. Its a big step foreward, like GT2 to GT3 or even bigger i guess.

The way that I could see it as GT4.5 is from the GTPSP car list. You'd assume that a large percentage of these are on GT5. There are VERY few cars on the list from the past 4 years. I know that a few cars like the Ferrari 458 have been shown in the last few months but I'd be suprised if there are a lot of common cars from the last few years. Also, I must've missed the video with improved crash physics. I'm yet to see a video where the computers vehicles respond to contact the same way that yours does.

That's what i was thinking.I mean look at the sls promo video, the only car after '06(except sls) is the C63 AMG!
I want to drive the latest models:)

GT5 is now looking better, the only concern is that there is no confirmation of variable weather, dynamic day and night. Also the new cars list hasn't being release.

Possible Cars I would like:
Ferrari: F50, 250 gto, P4, and few other from 50's and 60's.
Jaguar: 1960's one model that was 12 cylinders, prototipe that crash I think.
Many Porsches obviously...
Lamborghini: LP4000, LP5000s, miura, else...
Pantera:
Mclaren F1 and New model.
Motorcycles like Tourist Trophy, to race in nurburgring against ghost cars, ect.
What else???

Circuit de La Sathe is a must, Australias bathurst, Mexico carrera hispanoamericana road.

PD still has at least 5 month to work hard and we will see the result in march.

Excuse my english...

I know you started this thread and all, but this post clearly has managed to turn into a wishlist.

GT5 will be GT5, but i am expecting 'spec' releases, just becuase they worked quite well with prologue.

I'm actually hoping that each spec extends GTmode, with additional races and use of DLC tracks. It would be a challenge to beat GT5 spec i, then be challenged once more with GT5 spec ii, and so on. It would extend gameplay significantly.

Some of the things you listed PD said they were going to put in GT4 but they didn't. So to some extent SOME extent GT5 is something like GT4.8 or something.

I kind of wonder as well about 4.5 vs 5 not so much because of what's supposed to be in 5 but because of Kaz's remarks about how fast 6 will come out. If 6 comes out in under 2 years will we look back on 5 as another "fuller" demo or will it still stand on it's own?

This game was built from the ground up, which is why it has taken so long to develop. You could not possibly say it was GT4.5

GT5 would be the perfect game, if only it had 2 more things...

1 - Improved sounds and I mean MUCH improved sounds
2 - 900 degree wheel animation

I know they decided not to include it because it didn't look right, but It's better than what it is now.

OR

Maybe have an option, so if your using a controller the game could detect and change it automatically to 270 degrees for you so it doesn't look so weird. When using a wheel it changes it to 900 but of course still have the option to manually switch it to your preference, 270 or 900 no matter what you're using.

These two things would make GT5 perfect for me. It's definitely a HUGE improvement over GT4 the way it is, just the physics in GT4 turned me off, GT5:P fixed that.
