GT 6 Development

If GT6 PS4 then will cost too much time and money to develop. They spent too long developing GT5 as it is. The main problem is the amount of detail put on the cars. If you compare forza4 and GT directly forza looks good enough car wise and the curcuits look slightly better on average. Its a crime that they have not included all of the curcuits from GT4 and some of the best of GT2. If all they are doing is upscaling old curcuits why not include them. I tend to play GT rather than Forza cant use G25 on Xbox. Has anybody played both with a steering wheel. If you put G25 on sim mode is about 1000x more realistic than Forza 4.

They should keep developing GT5 if the PS4 version comes out it will need even more detail and time to develop.

Wouldn't that be redundant and unnecessarily time-consuming when most of the community will have already moved to GT6 and will appreciate more the time taken to refine that game rather than an older title?

It will probably take another six years from now to make GT6. They could keep trickle feeding GT5 while developing GT6. The amount of time and money required to increase the detail say 25x will be horendous.

Another 6 years? I'd be surprised if it was more than 2 years...
GT5 took 5 years to develop. It's been a little over 2 years since GT5 came out. I'd be gutted if GT6 took 8 years to develop.

What makes you think that detail will be 25x that of what GT5 is already? Is that level of detail even possible with recent (inexpensive)technology? It won't really be that necessary for the preminium cars to be upgraded in texture much.

This far I start to see that GT6 will be PS4 launch title 99% guarantee.... and I think it will come out 2014! So mark my words! :)

Are you suggesting that they continue to update it i.e seasonals, OCD, etc. ? Or that they seriously try to manage/develop two GTs at once? (By continuing to add DLC, bug fixes, etc.)

One of the reasons GT5 took so long was because PD over-exaggerated what they could do with the PS3. So a lot of chopping and changing had to be done as evidenced by the hidden in-game files.

Just think of all the peculiar screenshots and information prior to release.

You don't know a lot about game development, do you?

Actually I don't think GT6 will take such a long time (could already be quite far into development :P) because the main thing that hindered GT5's development was the fact that they rebuilt the engine instead of building upon the GT4 one (IMO) and the detail of the cars might be another factor but I doubt it because I struggle to think they spent 6 months building a premium car and they recently have been releasing DlC cars with arguably the same quality in short time spans.

In conclusion I believe they should build upon GT5's engine which is more than good enough for GT6 that is if it's a PS3 title because if it's a PSwhatever it's called now that isn't 4 than I think they're ready for it as well.

Good Luck Kaz and P.D from J. Sparkytooth D.Bring us the best GT game ever!!!👍👍

they havent finished GT5 yet so if they move to ps4 they will have to add detail to the standard cars and remodel all of the curcuits. If the ps4 isnt significantly more powerfull why would anybody buy it.

They would have added detail to cars and tracks regardless of how finish GT5 is.

Also i highly doubt the PS4 will be significantly more powerful than the PS3 especially since i have heard rumors that it will attempt to sell at around $400 (to compete with Wii U).

The detail in the Premium cars and the best modeled tracks aren't even bad, if GT6 was to come in the next 2 years i personally wouldn't mind if they kept the same graphics all i ask is that they improve on physics.

Forza got around 100 DLC cars last year, why cant PD give us the same, I would happily pay money for a 12 car+2 track DLC pack, if it was under $15 AUD, then they can give us what we want and get cash to develope GT6

PD cant give us that as they are a third of the size of the forza team.I'm ok with what PD has done and given us with the game. And that being a game of two years old,be greatfull we still get updates to try to improve the game..

You picked a pretty good user name there.

Just dusted off my GTPSP and wondered why we can transfer cars to Arcade only and not the Valencia circuit. Even if it was only for Arcade mode would have been fine. Maybe it's one of the many things left out during development of GT5.

Many of the cars in GT5 were like 3 years ole when the game debuted. We'll probably see the same for GT6 and more DLC of up to date machines.
