I, for one, am ecstatic the contest is being broadcast at all. Until word came down, I expected to find out about it all through social media and was scrambling about getting feeds set up on fb, Twitter and GTPlanet.

I'm just glad I can actually see what's going on. It's incredible how just mere days ago, I battled these guys online, and now they're doing the real thing. Just wish the Academy's format was longer than what it is now.

Well guys what can I say. As you all seen that have been following I was out in the first cut. I'm not to upset as I knew that was gonna be the outcome from day one. I'm a newbie to gt5 but next year I'll be a veteran. Good luck to the remaining guys and eventually the top 16. You all are some cool guys. You can quote this. Ill be back next year on a different level and it will be siverstone on bust instead of nationals or bust. And to everyone that may make it next year try your hardest because it is one hell of an experience.

Not a mathematician but I have been keeping a spreadsheet. Missed a few of the point layouts so it will not be completely accurate and I think they said several heats are under review which may change the leaderboard some.

I have one already (DFGT about 3-4 months ago ) and unlike most people it only made me a little faster
Still, the way I see it, I didn't really give round 8-5 more than 2 full, 2.5 hour, attempts, and on my last try I was up .5 in my 32.0 many times only to crash (I don't drive/drift normally )
Next year I would hope I'm better at Offline Time Trial. I'm also practicing drifting with the wheel, my biggest weakness.
