all 16 winners deserve to be going to silverstone. it pisses me off to no end when you throw dr ill under the bus and u never raced against him. the competition was so intense. having cameras and mics thrown in your face while you are trying to make a pass going into a high speed corner. i met some great people in the past 72 hours and i just cant sleep. everyone there went threw a lot. the amount of pressure was incredible yet the comrodarie [sp] was amazing. lots of hugs and just all around amazing sportsmanship. i will have a full breakdown at some point tomorrow lol.

Choate, its not like I am making stuff up about what he did, or spreading rumors. The fact that he chose to run that way, was his alone. You didn't do it, I didn't do it, and most others didn't as well. It was a pain in the ass in round 2 to keep having to change tracks, because people kept cheating.

More than that, this Academy is being called by many that don't know any better to be a competition of cheaters. I just had hoped that the competition wouldn't be marked further by one of the guys that had "taken a strange line on Indy" to make it to Silverstone.

I hear what you are saying about not knowing him. You are correct. All I really know from him is what happened in round 2, and that he must legitimately be fast(from qualifying for Silverstone). Choate, I understand you competed with him and have comradery(I know, strange word, looked it up) with him. I am sorry if you think I am throwing him under the bus unfairly. You met him, and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I will chalk it up as a bad judgement call on his part. But, regardless he is one of the 16 that represent the competition and 50,000+ other people that took part in the Academy. I will just say I wish he hadn't done it, and leave it at that.

And Congratu***lations on making it to Silverstone Choate. I am greatly looking forward to watching you, Fix, Glenn, Bside, R1600, Conman, zero, and the cheef on the Speed Channel. Awesome, awesome stuff.

edit: sorry for leaving you guys out.. rooting for you as well, z06 and Spec.

Sounds like it was a great event.

Congratulations to all the Silverstone finalists! You are in for the time of your lives.

Also, commiserations to those that didn't quite make it. I've seen both sides of the coin myself and after the weeks of effort come down to events over a handful a laps, the two resulting feelings couldn't be more different. Take heart from the fact that the experience can definitely be put to good use next time.

I have to be honest about Dr ill.He cheated the academy got turned upside down and inside out.I took a week off work and could not put times in.Spent a good portion of my life puuting laps in to come home and see that the time did not count.I can keep going but i am over it now.Just because he is fast and made doesn't take away the many inconvinences he caused me and others.Great job and good luck at silvastar.

Edit:
Blindeside I knew you could do it great job man.Hope you guys still do some online racing.

What an amazing experience. I can't thank Sony/Nissan enough for the trip, let alone the opportunity to race against the best GT5 drivers in the country. The competitors were a great bunch of guys, and the racing was, for the most part, clean and close. Unfortunately for me, I had trouble adjusting and made a few stupid mistakes early on.

It was great meeting all of you. I'm a bit disappointed not to be going to... Silverstar, but I'm glad to have had the opportunity to try. If another GT Academy rolls around next year, which sounds likely, I'll certainly look forward to seeing some of you there again as well as some others (Forced, RackAttack, Hunk, EERS).

Sounds like you couldn't afford a single mistake man, not surprising with that group of guys :) Makes me sad you didn't make it but, I sure hope to meet yah next year :D

Silverstar's starting to sound a bit embarrassing for someone :D

Well, I'm back in town. It was an amazing experience. I had such an amazing time. I am truly honored to be going to Silverstar.

But, the sour grapes nonsense has to stop. Get over yourselves and just give the credit where it's due. These 32 played the GAME better and they dealt with the same challenges more effectively than the other 53,000 players. The rules were the same for EVERY participant. So what if Doctor caused round 2 to be canceled. I flipping mowed grass in round 1 and you know how much I cared about that huh? What did it really change? Probably not much to be honest. Pretty much the same group would of gone. We noticed the trend every round, the cream always rose to the top, no matter if the grass was in play or not.

But in other news I'll be jumping on around 930 or so for some celebration donuts and to chat with the bunch.

I truly want to say thanks to PD, Sony, Nissan and Disney for everything over the past few days. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Remember the intro to F12010 where it's the entire living the life with all the cameras, mics, and people. Well It was exactly the same feeling. I almost lost it when I saw how close each of us are to our dream!

I don't post here much, but I just wanted to say that it was great getting to meet everyone in Orlando. I didn't know friendships could form so fast, and with you all, it was instant. I've met so many cool people, and I'll definitely be hanging around here more often now! These next few weeks are going to be crazy!
