GT Academy Round 3 *Should Start* on the 21st.

The update is coming on the 18th which is this coming Friday. Round 3 should start on Monday the 21st if they keep the same schedule of starting on Mondays.

Something I noticed. Seasonal event replay downloads are disabled due to a problem with the 1.06 update. I wonder if they really fixed the cheating issue, or just got rid being able to find out about it.

The replay problem was there all along, from day 1 actually. I think they are just now getting to fixing it.
I tried a few tracks in practice mode, you can still go off on the outside of turns and the indy cut still works. I'm wondering if we will have to wait for the next update before we get started with round 3.

I thought the new penalty system was only in effect in certain events.

If that's the case, exploits that work in arcade mode or practice mode, might not work in a seasonal event or time trial etc.

It's also possible that they simply "juiced" the penalties on a few tracks. (like the tracks they intend to give us for round three.)

I think your right, just because a penalty worked in offline mode doesn't mean it will work in the competition, lets wait until we actually drive in GT Academy before we jump to conclusions. Sony went out of their way to make sure they had these penalties fixed and released in a press release that the penalties existed, I am sure they will have the issue fixed.

I personally wouldn't mind some time to figure out the "steering sensitivity" function

I wouldn't be surprised if they just started us randomly on Monday. Either that, or they may be adjusting the entire schedule of GT Academy since the whole event has been set back due to the cheating.
