GT Award Winner Crowned at SEMA 2017, Coming to Gran Turismo

"Coming" to Gran Turismo. Yeah right.

Well it's 100% accurate. :)

* they didn't say "soon", "this year", "early next year" etc
* they didn't say which Gran Turismo, could be GT:S, GT7, GT7 prologue.

PD starts to know themselves, leaving all options open. :)

According to Chris Forsberg's IG account, Sung Kang's 240 and Chris's 370z FD car just got scanned by Polyphony today
Excellent! Wish we got Chris’ 280Z too though. But I’ll take Sung Kang’s FuguZ any day. Hope it is in the first DLC. ;) can’t wait! I’ve been wanting a proper Fairlady Z to be made in a game for a looong time. It’s gonna be my most driven car for sure. Going to add a livery to it the way I want my RL Z to be like!

Adding the SEMA cars is fine and all but I miss the idea of GT adding classic cars to let people race a piece of history, these souped up cars are a novelty like the VGT cars. How about some actual real world road cars? GTS has more fantasy cars than actual road cars.

It's a nice civic actually. The body kit fits it well.

I'm confused why SEMA awards are still a thing? None of the post 2011 winners have been featured, and with the new direction of GT, how does a 1992 car and these other SEMA cars fit into it?

Is there going to be a Gr.SEMA or something...?

When I saw the civic, I thought, 'cool throwback-wait, is a '92 a throwback now a days?'

Jerome
Nah. '92 is like digging up an ancient relic.

I don't get these awards going to tuned versions of common cars. Just scan a stock version of the car and then have some creative license with the visual modifications. I am sure a well preserved EG Civic isnt too hard to find in Japan.

Wow they're not wasting any time with GTS!
Scanned already is impressive. Now just another couple of years until it nears the top of PD's to-do list, six months of one-man 3D model building and another few months before they can slot it into an update...
