AWWW!!! i watched this one video and this guy drifts really good. He enters the corner in a high speed and exit the corner in a high speed as well. If i use logitech feed back would i do my drifts better? and can someone please teach me how to drift while entering a corner in a high speed.

yeah. i use the PS2 controller and it works fine.

why hasn't this thread been moved yet?

i use analog and i drift as good as the guys with the wheels (not to sound to cocky) but i finally get a dig. camera this weekend so i can finally show my stuff! Though 10sec. at a time :(

You know....Just because of this thread..I want to start thread called Tucan Sam......It won't have anything to do with Tucan Sam.....Or cars....but......It'll be Tucan Sam.

Truely....fabisham.

I don't know... I have never seen anyone drift with a controller as well as someone with a wheel; unless it's 4wd or FF drifting. There is just a level of control that is not reachable when using the dpad or analog sticks when driving FR cars.

Yes the controller works fine but I think everyone can realise a greater drifting level using a wheel. Whether it's really worth it is another story.

My opinion. Flame me if nessicary. I belive..The wheel is alot smoother. I dont think anyonr can debate that, its smoother. But as far as doing the actual drifts, they're the same. The wheel you can just be more precise. Your throttle control also suffers with the controller. I'd say its worth the 80 dollars to get the wheel.

Oh really wise sir? Please indulge me; tell me the error of my ways. Why is FF drifting not drifting? Oh right it's "ass dragging" I forgot.

Exhibition drifting is exhibition drifting it doesn't matter what kind of car you have (you could be driving a tricycle for all it matters). As long as you are sliding sideways it's exhibition, how well you do it and how good it looks is a different story.

But thank you for reminding me why I stopped posting here.

Look. If I slammed on the ebrake in a ff car. And the front wheels are just DRAGGING the ASS end its ASS DRAGGING. Catch the drift? I dont see how it can be real drifting. You arent even breaking traction. You're just skidding. Its like conparing drifting a go kart to drifting a bike. Bike you just slam on the brake and turn. A go kart you actually break traction and drift (in sorts).

Really, there is no point in continuing the conversation; it's been done too many times with no resolve. if you truly would like to continue it then send me a private message since this is off topic.

..........There has been PLENTY of resolutions.....FF cars CAN'T DRIFT.....It's the people who are so close minded as to actually think a car that can't sustain the momentum to make it round a corner can drift that are keeping this "debate" unresolved so to speak.

that's it....
don't comment
don't speak on it
it's the truth
Truth be told..

I use the Dualshock at the moment, but I am slowly learning the GT Force wheel. I too beleive that my drifts are just as good as some of the people who use the wheel. Although, the wheel gives you better replays due to the slow precise movement of the front wheels, unless you have spent countless hours learning precise counteresteer with the DualShock like I have.:D ;)
In addition, FF is not drifting, it is ass dragging. It is true that it can be fun and it is no mistake that it is difficult, but that does not change the fact that it is not drifting.;)

here we go again, FF conversation arguments, man i really like FF drifting, I've never seen anyone doing it, except me and akina and Cudaman, i think he did some too. But for me, i consider FF drifting as style and exhibition, because i like the way it drifts. Dont care what others says, FF drifting is the hardest and if you cant drift an FF car around the track, then you might as well say that FF drifting is stupid and Ass Draggin. (Sorry if its off topics) but i really like to watch FF and FR drifts.

The anolog and the wheels looks the same to me, its just the cars wheel looks more realistic seeing it turn sideways when making a full drifts with the GT wheels

Does it really matter whether people call it "ass dragging" or drifting? I mean, seriously, you guys really don't have to be so anal about it. The world's not going to end if you can't correct everyone that mentions FF and drifting in the same sentence. Whenever the guys who call it ass dragging go and correct someone, it almost always just causes some kind of a stupid argument that usually goes on for pages in certain threads. It's just ridiculous. If people call it "ass dragging" or drifting, just leave them alone. There's no need to start an argument about it.

BTW, I call it both FF drifting and "ass dragging" depending on the thread to satisfy the people on both sides.

Because it's TRENDY to harp on FF drifting and call it "ass-dragging" and then get into a huge hissy fit about how it isn't True Drifting (tm) because the back wheels aren't breaking traction, and then have a huge cry about how ass-dragging is lame and such.

Oh my god, that felt good.

It's amazing what you can get away with just by leaving words out of quotes...

Wow... I always wanted to say that but just didn't kno how. Yeah i agree to it too

wheel is more easy than analog because we can control the car all i want in every situation....all drifter must know is own car what's his weakness, ect...

Tingboy said it, not me! :D

Makes you wonder just what the context is when you read quotes like that in newspapers though, eh? :D
