Half way through this race, in front, fair laps overall got best one in very lat lap at 1:25 ish.

Leading at this point in race lap 4/6, spun off on the inside of track, DIDN'T notice at the time until I finished first 2 laps later and said I finished 12th!

You have to do this race 3 times I believe for each difficulty level which makes it worse!

You can see I'm actually LAPPING everyone at this point as there is no gap showing on timer to left!

Consequences of racing. At times things just happen and you pay the price for it.

Just motorsport things.

Did you watch the video? Clearly a glitch of some kind. Op goes way off, but only a car or two passes before demotion of 1st to 19th which is like half a lap behind them
Then slams into a car. He should be DQed.

I wish more of this would happen.

Is that your usual line at that corner?

I don’t really know the track that well, was a sector missed at some point, maybe due to cutting the track?

Did you save the replay? Put the whole lap up rather than just the incident...

You wish more people would be dropped to last place because they go off track? In what real world racing does this happen? Please explain your reasoning.
Bad driving should not be rewarded, especially after running of track then SLAMMING into other cars. Where would this be ok in real world?

Don't much care about going off track, it's the carelessness afterwards.

It's bad driving offline which affects nobody else. You should be able to run your races with whatever your personal preference of settings is rather than imposing the preferences up some random player who thinks you should only play the game their way.. Kind of the whole point of GT League.

Ok

I wasn't asking for a single mistake, or bad driving as you critically put it, to be rewarded. In this case that single mistake not involving other AI drivers cost me 12 positions and 3 minutes added to my time.
As regards the collision with the AI driver on returning to the track blame it on the complete loss of control beforehand and trying to steady the car on return to the track. I was a lap ahead of these NON-HUMAN opponents at this point and looking forward to my usual 50% clean race bonus.

If its the Single race thing you are talking about with the 3 difficulty levels, I did them all on professional and it counted them all as complete.

Yes I have done the same thing myself in Arcade mode. This post is about the GT League where you HAVE to repeat the same races at different levels in the same cars. FR and MR also have repeated races for example

Can someone please explain how to add a quote when editing a message? I can't find any way if doing it on tablet or PC otherwise I would not double post. Please edit these last two replies into one post thanks Admins.

However if you had complete control and not left the track , this would not have happened.

Work on clean driving not complaining about something completely avoidable had you stayed on the track to begin with.

For the second time you completely miss the whole point of the thread pointing out a race breaking bug in your rush to level more personal criticism of a other forum member. You have no idea of my GT skills whatsoever except in this video.
By the way I look forward to seeing a video by yourself explaining your own skills in this challenge. Six laps of a notoriously slippy track in an FR car you have only used once before without making a single mistake and heaven forbid actually leaving the track once in your session.

I haven't missed the point.

It's a bug that has only affected someone going off track.... It's completely irrelevant to those that stay on track.

This is a completely irrelevant and illogical statement. All bugs only apply to people who engage in specific actions. I would presume lots of people that play this game go off the track at one point or another. Discounting this glitch simply because it applies to the less consistent players is ridiculous.

I'm not saying I drive perfect , I go off track all the time(offline), pushing the limits and obviously exceeding them. It happens.

Our options differ on the matter of this "bug". I don't see the results of it being negative as you do.
I'll agree to disagree. I do apologise for my bluntness though.

Press "Reply" on the post you want to quote. This adds it to where your cursor is in the reply box, inside quote tags.

Or if you just want to quote a little bit, highlight the text you want to quote and click the "Reply" button that appears. This adds it to where your cursor is in the reply box, inside its own quote tags.

Or hit "+Quote" on every message you want to reply to. Then hit the "Insert Quotes" button under the reply box to insert them all in one go, inside their own quote tags.

Thanks but I'm talking about AFTER I've posted a comment and I want to go back and edit it. Insert quotes is not available?
Going to test this again and edit after posting this reply.

Just copy the quotes from the reply box (highlight, copy), then paste them into your edit reply box (paste).

Ahh ok I can do that no problem it's just that the person won't get a notification they were quoted correct? Which was what I was trying to achieve.

Plus cutting and pasting on mobile platform is really cludgy for me!

No, users won't get notified if tagged or quoted in an edit.

But you were talking about double-posting:

If you use the multiquote features I mention above to reply to all the people you want to reply to, it'll notify them of it and you won't double-post...

There's invisible barrier lines you have to hit in a certain order on the tracks that have massive shortcut potential, to make sure you don't cheat. That particular line needs to be stretched out into the sand a bit more.(looks like its somewhere after them cones)... if you end up in front of one of these lines without hitting/crossing it, the game will know you were way off the track at some point.

Remember the Top Gear Track in GT5... (that only had one line- at the hammerhead-) and people use to cheat by going straight instead of left and the first corner, and then up around the barrier and up towards the hammerhead, doing a 180, hitting the invisible line, and then continuing around the rest of the track and halving the lap more-less.

I think it has to do with the speed you're going too, in GT6 on Big Willow, taking the shortcut at turn 3 at speed use to put you in last place after the first lap was done, but at very slow speed and with enough people passing you, it didn't sometimes(or something like that).

I think more than a few people completely missed the point of this post.
It's not about whether or not OP went off the track for whatever reason.
It's about the fact it dropped him from 1st to last when a lapped car passed him. That's quite a big bug and rightly should be addressed.
Imagine this happened to you in an endurance race, maybe not because you spun off but because you pitted. And while in the pits a lapped car passed the pits and it demoted you to last place. I'd say that's quite a big deal. PD need to look into this one.

The pit stops generally take around 20-30 seconds if changing tires and refueling to full from empty, so I don't think the issue would happen while in the pits.
If the problem worked the other way and promoted places, the glitchers would be loving it. I would rather PD fixed those issues before they try to replicate and fix this one.

To prevent the problem from happening, if you lose control or are about to come off the track, take foot off throttle, countersteer and brake, so you can return to the track close to where you came off and accept you made a race ruining error.

When I'm racing, if I have a few seconds lead, I don't try setting fastest laps, I just try to maintain the gap. Less likely to make mistakes then.
