Will definitely give it a try! 👍 Guess I will have to win some race cars, though

Would racey tuner cars like the RE Amiya RX7 (or however you spell it) count?
Or are we talking Croup Cs and LM?
What about rally cars?

Race cars in general..... I'm going to School tomorrow so it might be difficult for met to get a shot, but there are heaps on My Usb

well the amemiya rx7, from what i know, did compete in the japanese super gt (if i'm right),
and in the tsukuba super lap time trials, so it is a race car.

I'll try my best to get a shot but me, like Speedemon08, have to get up bright eyed and bushey tailed for school tommorrow so I'm not sure if i can get one 'till much later. Funnily enough, i've gotta go back to NFS for DT but I'll try and sneak GT4 in there.

Just too clear things a little. By race cars, I am looking more to Group C cars, JGTC, LM, maybe some touring cars.

No Tunners or Rally, whatsoever.

You'll have to explain why rally cars are not race cars :grumpy:

Because I am looking more towards close circuit non-gravel racing, more like Le Mans, and Japanese Grand Touring, or other Grand Touring cars. The kind of cars when you are choosing the car in Gran Turismo, after the name, just says “Race Car”.

Edit: Like this, for example:

see the race car mark after the name?

No...rally...cars?

There goes my idea, I was planning on using the EVO IV rally car after playing a TON of GT1 this weekend :D

Oh well, might just use something else then :)

Just a very quick entry thrown together. (I am recovering my pc, don't know if it'll work. For now my pc thinks that i have every version of windows ever made to boot from. Including 3 versions of vista...my usb ports still are are scatterbrained at best. I can't install anything. And now my cd drive is in the crapper.) anywho, I don't know if I will be around, so heres my..

~Final Entry~

~Previous Entry~

As you can see with the newer entry, the car is a bit dirty and battered, as if it's just finishing Le Mans.

well, i figured i'd throw something together VERY quickly. this is a PMC-esque shot form eons gone-by that i added some saturation to just now. no chance in hell, but it took 2 minutes, and is a low end edit, so I'm not expecting much. just a formality to keep my sub par type of entries flowing slowly.

EDIT:
Entry removed due to use of lens flares. shucks. that's all I got too.

hey hey.....liking that alot speed.
Such a shame that GT4 doesn't have discs lighting up like GT3 - I was sort of playing with the same idea.👍👍

not a bad idea, but i don't know if it's allowed according to the rules.
As long as lens flare weren't used. Doesn't look like it. Maybe saturated a second layer?

That's what I'd say. Doesn't look too hard to do. Maybe some Hue adjustment too, with some fancy erasing.

guys, I hate to say this, because I'm shooting myself in the foot, but i most definitely used lens flares for that. i completely forgot about the rule against lens flares. I will remove it. but I am glad that i fooled swiss for a minute or two, hehe.

I actually used 3 small, slightly different size lens flares for each headlight, placed exactly over the bulb within the overall headlight assembly. each one had a slightly different hue (by perhaps 1 or 2 points) and then i just saturated the whole thing. was an experiment to see what i could do with just the base layer, no new ones. I think i could do it with the Audi in behind too, as long as I then bumped the contrast, since all those flares would wash out the black to a grey, methinks.

I did the same thing with a 787b. that turned out great too, and took around a half hour of random PS. it was my first major edit.

Nice job bro. You got me. That effect could definitely be done w/out lens flares. But still. Tremendous job. How could I not realize that. :D

It does, it just takes a lot of braking at one time.

Yeah I know. The disks do light up but what I was saying was that they don't light up like in GT3

Yeah...that Toyota GT1 also looks like it used softglow. Is this allowed? I'm not sure - hope it is though.

i know you did. hence my post :D but it was a good effort i must say 👍

Thanks Swiss & Jg!! I was aiming exactly to that, and I also wanted a realistic look:tup:

TW - Great work. Quite simple "looking", but at the same time...great edition you have made there. 👍
