Oh, yeah, if do you think I'm going to post the magic cheat here after spenting whole days to left your vanishing blurs behind, you can sit down to wait...franz and Alex, those entries are just totally awesome, makes me want to retire right now...
Franz' cleaning is just awesome, and the tones and levels of Alex' entry is really something, I think I need to ask Alex for some advice on this (Though he probably won't share his secrets )
Also, I really need to get the hang of the curve blurs, I'm really falling behind lately

Really, your stuff is nicely balanced so you don't need anything else. There are not tricks, it's nice to improve the light and color knowledge. For the first one, a black-to-white gradient map blended in soft light mode works fine with low contrast images; for the second one, a bit of cinematographic color correction theory will be nice after using color balance to neutralize the original biased tone. Now, let this post disapear quickly
But after watching the workflow of some guys here, and in general all out there, there are a lot of ways to do the same thing. The combination of correction steps are close to infinite.
