Glad to see Marc VDS' Z4 GT3 on P1, it would be interesting to see if this is actually the last endurance race of the Z4 GT3.

The other handicapped competitor in Alex Zanardi sits 14th Fantastic job by both teams! I'm hoping the Emil Grey Jag gets a top 15 and looking for a VDS win!

They still have no provisions for a customer M6 programme yet, and if teams are going to run them next year, they'd like to order them fairly soon. There'll still be a lot of Z4s for at least another year.

It went out to the soundtrack of a gearbox eating itself. Very terminal.

It locked the rears, either the diff or the gearbox was making a horrible clunking noise. Werner's staying in the car and talking to the team.

EDIT - Out. The #46 is in 2nd and just under 15 seconds off the lead now.

The commentators suggested it was probably the differential, but whatever it is that failed, it sucks

The team chef of Marc VDS said that first the power steering failed and then the engine, he suggested that it's probably a/the oil pump.
Just so incredibly bummed for Marc VDS.
