GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Wake up to see the McLarens and Bentleys have plummeted down the field over night. That's my race over with, back to bed.

Two Bentleys are still in the Top 10 if I remember it correctly!

Glad to see Marc VDS' Z4 GT3 on P1, it would be interesting to see if this is actually the last endurance race of the Z4 GT3.

Well if you count the Turner Motorsport as GT3 (it's lightly modified from GT3 to GTD) then that still has Petit Le Mans to do.

The Jaguar is still running! And in 16th place too!

The other handicapped competitor in Alex Zanardi sits 14th  Fantastic job by both teams! I'm hoping the Emil Grey Jag gets a top 15 :) and looking for a VDS win!

They still have no provisions for a customer M6 programme yet, and if teams are going to run them next year, they'd like to order them fairly soon. There'll still be a lot of Z4s for at least another year.

hsv

Same with the R8 Ultras

It locked the rears, either the diff or the gearbox was making a horrible clunking noise. Werner's staying in the car and talking to the team.

EDIT - Out. The #46 is in 2nd and just under 15 seconds off the lead now.

It went out to the soundtrack of a gearbox eating itself. Very terminal.

The commentators suggested it was probably the differential, but whatever it is that failed, it sucks :(

The team chef of Marc VDS said that first the power steering failed and then the engine, he suggested that it's probably a/the oil pump.
Just so incredibly bummed for Marc VDS. :(

46 on 2 for the lead. Nicely done. 2.7 seconds opened up in one lap.

The GT Academy GT-R has just stopped. Why are all the teams I'm rooting for having issues?
But hey, if I saw it correctly, the Marc VDS sister car is now in the lead. 👍

A tad warmer today

So happy for Marc VDS, again phenomenal race by Audi as well. Pity for the Nissan and Bentley teams, was hoping for a better result for them :(
