The season for this series lasts one month and will only be run one time before September.

If you need to warm up your racing try the JGTC sereies now in its third season, it lasts until February 5th.

Next monday I will post the rules, signups can begin then as well as racing once you declare your cars and teams. Official Season Start is February 1st.

Rules are posted! Everyone can start forming up for the season. Once cars are declared you can start racing. Official Season Start is February 1st. It ends March 1st.

You may enter 1 car in each division. If you want to run only one car you may, if you want to run two you may and so on up to 4, but only one per divison.

That makes you the first entrant in the Classic Divsion. Are you going to form a team or race as an Individual?

I'm pretty much a lone-gunman...

stargate3.gif

and besides, it's always nicer in the results if everyone gets some listings instead of the faster team-mate stealing all the limelight.

I've no objection to anyone else taking a crack with the Chappy too, but I'll be a privateer entry!

Add another Chaparral to the field and I'll try to tame the Gillet too.

I believe the Panoz Esperante is a member of the LM GT1 division as well.

O.K., done a little testing & I'd like to use:

LM Fantasy Division
/ Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car ('02) #23

LM GTS/GT2 Division
/ Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca ('00) #91

LM GT1 Division
/ Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car ('98) #32

Classic Division
/ Chaparral 2D Race Car ('67) #7

Many THANX...O.G.

I'm baaaack
With a lot of collected euphoria from previous college exams I decided to join here with a full blast so, watch your steps everyone :mischievous:

I'll pick Ford GT40 Race Car ('69) with 6 as a race number (can't resist old-school rumble :sly:) Yes, it's little slower than Chapi but still... I'll participate as a standalone driver

Just one more question and I'm done:
1.) Can we drive beyond the yellow line during cornering on a Test Course ?

Thanks

Welcome back Matej. Your not supposed to drive outside the lines on any course. You can stick two wheels out though, your choice of which two.

Thanks BH-21, for the answer!

Hopefully, I will find a way to appease this beast as it's very difficult to drive during increased pace. However, engine sound from exhaust pipes gives me enough power to cope with that. :sly:

Its very simple Matej. On the test course, run your intial tourque for your LSD up to as high as you need, till you can control the car.

Oh wow, the Season has officially started! Can I still join?

Oh, I need a team...

You don't need a team Skython11. You can form one if you want to. You can join up till Feb 29th with the times due March 1st.

Nitrorocks are you making your self available as an engineer?

O.K. 👍 Got two of my four divisions done & replays saved. Nothing on the telly but the "Stooopid Bowl" so maybe I'll get one more done this afternoon...O.G.

Bloody hell, you're kicking through these things quick O.G.!
Talk about a man on a mission! :scared:
I'm going to start this sometime this week, and if the Chappy behaves well, I may consider running something else, although with the Classic Muscle Series rumbling back into life, the Weekly Arcade Time Trial Challenge coming up again, and the Track Day Challenge all vying for my attention, as well as the Grand Prix, and possibly F1 series, there's not time for it all.
I could do with being retired too!

That said, I fancied listening to some old cassettes (remember those horrid old hissy things?) the other night while I was finishing off the JGTC events, and since I was down in the garage, and the only cassette player we have anymore is in the Miata, I left it with the ignition on, roof down and the volume up! After about 4 hours of playing (I had some serious catching up to do!) I realised that I'd probably run the battery down a fair bit, and since it's mid-60s and sunny today, I now need to get her started up and taken for a good long top-down jaunt to get the battery fully charged again! :D

Well, being retired does have some benefits! :sly: NOT that there isn't a pile of projects I should be tending to, but none of them are this much fun!!!

I DO miss California weather but can NOT complain this winter here. Lots of days in the 70s, even a few in the 80s. Today's 43 degree high just reminding us of last year this time when we had a MAJOR Ice Storm...O.G.

EDIT: Just after I wrote this my nephew showed up in his newly acquired (20,000 mile / "Pristine") NSX in my favorite shade of yellow, to give me a demo ride. Didn't get as much done w/GT Ride #3 as I'd hoped but it was worth it! Not quite like a "Top Down" ride in Cal, but pretty Kool none the less. :sly:

Nice O.G.! Hope he lets you have a turn behind the wheel at some point!

Anyway, I just finished setting up my Chappy, and it's ready to race. 👍
Seems BH-21 missed my racing number in my original post, so I'll put it up again:

#42

Please. :embarrassed:

Hiya Smallhorses:
I'm sure he will, I drove his other one several times + I'm the one who instilled a love of cars in him many years ago. BTW: He's the one who introduced me to GT3!!!

Looks like we've both got the "Chappy" still to do. Got my other three divisions done & replays saved + times submitted...O.G.

My racing numbers are 17 for the Vertigo and 71 for the 2D.

Now to find a setup that breaks the Vertigo's love for dirt.
