I'm thinking about getting a brake mod - Nixim, GTEye and 3DRap.it all make springs or inserts to make the pedal more progressive - Im hoping this would stop locking the brakes so often. Any experiences of these ?

There are a couple of load cell mods out there too, but they aren't cheap.

I can wholeheartedly recommened the NIXIM V2 Brake Mod, best thing I ever bought for my G25. Makes braking feel very progressive from light to firmer to hard. 10/10!

👍

I have the 3drap insert “console” makes it a bit too stiff probably. I’d recommend to try another spring before trying the insert. It depends how you like your brake.

Hi guys, I am in need of some major help. I brought GT Sport a few weeks ago and have been loving it with the Thrustmaster T150 wheel I played it earlier in the week for 4-5 hours I could feel the wheel vibrating gentle all the time, feel the tires on the tarmac, the oversteer, the understeer. When I accidently hit a car up the rear I felt it through the wheel, could feel the chicanes. Then after 4 hours of GT Sport my Thrustmaster T150 died I smelt the back it smelt hot but basically it won't turn on anymore. So I got angry at Thrustmaster as this is the second wheel I've been through, so I wanted to get another wheel so for a day or two was thinking going more expensive mid range so either a T300 belt driven but it's a risk as heard of lots of reliability issues with motors burning out or the Logitech G29 gear driven, looks fantastic and they have some deals on. So in the end went for the G29 and bearing in mind my muscle memory from the T150 and the intense feelings I was getting plugged in the G29 feels fantastic looks the part, been on the forums adjusted all the settings for FFB to min mid and max, sensitivity tried all the ranges and when I hit a car up the rear get no FFB with all variety of settings occasionally when I hit the side of a car I get a rumble but it's hit and miss, you don't feel the track or weight of the cars near as much, it feels like I am driving GT Sport with a T80 without FFB at times. Now is this because I have gone for a helical gear wheel and I was spoilt with the belt and gear driven thrustmaster, as to me the G29 feels so disconnected it's pin point accurate feels amazing but it feels lifeless, as I said I tried all setting variations. Debating whether to send it back and get a T300 but then if that breaks as alot of wheels have with thrustmaster from experience and all over forums a £250-300 brick I will not be impressed with when it breaks, please help and advise. Seems so silly if I bump a car hard up the rear by accident i get no FFB, sometimes if I hit a car on the side , No road detail through wheel , even going up a high curb nothing? I want to like the G29 and I am on a budget but have I made the wrong choice or is it the game as it seemed more edge of your seat and feeling with my plastic T150 the FFB was so much better? Thanks guys

Logitech G29 hands down! ( hands on the wheel )

Question about brakes. I am playing Driving School, 7th challenge - Using brakes to stop: High powered cars.
I turned off all assists, including ABS and traction control. When braking, I try to push the brake pedal as much as possible, but it goes inside only slightly, and the car is really, really bad with braking. So bad that it takes seconds that it lowers the speed from 50 kmh to 0. Is this normal?

It all depends on the corner that you are taking! Are you driving wheel or controller?

What do you mean by corner? It is straight. It lasts only 10 seconds, and I cannot manage to do it in time because car brakes for too long.

I am using wheel, Logitech G29.

The straight is determined by its corner, the exit which is the straight. Left foot breaking, as well as trail breaking makes fractions of a second difference. Make sure your counter steering is set to (strong) ABS set to default and TC depending on your car

I've a G29 and I got the vibrations on crash, grass and sand. I didn't change any setting in particular, beside the FFB settings. But i'd like to disable the clunky effects that occurates sometimes without reason on road and corners. You said it's normal but I just find it annoying. There's no such thing in Assetto Corsa or PC2.
I have that clunky effect in every game, it all comes down to the settings because the G29 uses plastic gears.

Just wait until you do a longer race in PC2 and get a flat spot in your tyre and on a fast straight it sounds like your G29 is going to explode from the high frequency vibration.

Hi guys. I've had my G29 for almost 2 years now. Last night I was bored so I decided to strip down the pedal set and remove the rubber insert that's included in the break pedal. All I can say is Wow! It makes a hell of a difference to the break pedal. I can now feather the break pedal more effectively.
I highly recommend removing that rubber insert. If you don't like the feel of the brakes after removing it, it's as simple to replace as it is to remove.

I actually put another hard rubber underneath my rubber so I hit the rubber sooner and I put orings under each end of the spring. My brake feels incredible in all other games now, it feels like a real cars brake pedal. Not so much in GT Sport because we can't adjust the force response curve like other games but this mod has also improved how GT Sport feels for me.

guys how setings degree from g29 when i playing on gt sport?
thanks george

You can't.

Don't turn off assists. Plant it and time your braking so that your car stops with the front wheels just inside the blue zone. With fast cars downshifting under braking I think helps.

Hi Guys!

This is my first message here.
For some time I have been following the forum and have always found valuable information from people willing to help. I thank everyone!

My problem, as with many here, was to regulate the rotation of the steering wheel. I discovered that using Logitech's LGS software you can not only regulate the rotation but also the G29's pedals !!!

Although the software allows several changes, the only one I did was to lower the rotation from 900 to 450 degrees. I did not touch the pedal settings.

So in that sense, I'd like to suggest to anyone who had the same problem as me with the G29 - regulating the steering wheel rotation - to try to make use of Logitech's LGS software.

The version I downloaded was LGS_8.96.81, which I think is the last one. Just google it !! I do not leave the link for fear of forwarding to a fake site ...

I hope it works for everyone as it worked for me!

PS: Forgive me for the poor English and the long message.

There is no LGS software on the PS4.

Thanks guys for the suggestions in this thread, definitely improved my experience with the G29.

Though I'd like to ask if I'm the only one having issues with the brake pedal being too close to the gas pedal. I'm thinking about exchanging brake and clutch, maybe even remove the rubber within the brake pedal, would you guys recommend this to someone who never modified anything similar?

Do you know you can move the pedal faces?

I moved my brake and gas closer to each other and moved my clutch all the way to the left. I like this better for heel/toe not that I need it for GT Sport but I like my pedals set like this even in GT Sport.

are you on the latest firmware mate? when did you buy the wheel? are you talking about GT Sport feedback on environments or other games? thanks in advance

True, the PS4 does not allow the installation of the LGS.
Such software, which allows you to adjust the degrees of rotation of your steering wheel and pedals of your G29, must first be installed on your PC.
After this procedure you must connect the G29 to the PC to be recognized by the software, make the changes you want (I just changed the rotation from 900 to 450 degrees), turn off and unplug the G29 from the PC.
Now go back to the PS4 and connect the G29 in the same way you always did and notice that the changes that were made to the PC are saved. Test the changes in GT Sport ...
My steering wheel was 2.5 laps and now gives only 1.25...

Sorry if I was not clear before!

Wow if this is true it explains a lot. people were complaining their wheels did not match the screen in PC2 and said they had to change in game sensitivity to get the wheels to match. I had no idea the G29 saved this way and if that's the case I think I just fell in love with this wheel all over again. I'm really hoping it saves pedal sensitivity in the same way. i just wished i could also save deadzones in my pedals and that would be perfect.

I tested this procedure only on GT Sport.

I'm not sure if in Project Cars 2 it would be a good idea to apply the same ...
At least, in Project Cars 1, i remember that was possible to regulate the rotation and other functions in the game itself ...

Barboosa, isn't that software PC-only (not Mac)?

If so, that's a major bummer for me. I'd love to be able to set the rotation to its lowest setting and have that "stick" for all cars and races.

EDIT:
That is... unless PD fixes GTS so that all cars auto-select the correct DoR...

I just couldn't give up my G27! I tried the G29 and really liked it, but hated the pedals(not sure why so much different from my 27 pedals). I tried the Thrustmaster 300, only because my buddy owns one and I was able to try it. I liked it, but even he mentioned they weren't all that reliable and that he had issues already, after owning it less than 6 months. Sooooo I read up on the different hubs that can be used for the G27 on PS4, and decided to go with the Cronusmax Plus and so far so good, but wish I could remap the buttons, as there are a couple things I would change if I could(looking left and right mainly). Anyway, eventually my plan is to step up to either the G29 or Fanatec, but for now I'm more than content with the G27/Cronusmax combo.

Oh wow I would've never find that out on my own, many thanks :)

  1. What is really annoying me now is the shifter not working when both the accelerator and the clutch are pressed simultaneously, it just stays in neutral :(

Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought the wheel yesterday...

    Thanks in advance :)

Barboosa - i did this earlier and dropped the rotation to 450. Also dropped the wheel sensitivity to 25 - which makes it feel MUCH smoother with no clatter anymore. Unless its all in my head!

In your place, I would pay a very cold beer to a friend who had a PC and would ask to install the software. So while drinking you could do the G29 tweaks on his PC!
I love the idea, and "normally", that's what I'd do, mate. Thank you!

I'll spare you the lengthy tragic story, but long-term illness has meant I've been isolated and not mobile after losing the 5 classy friends I chose to keep from a large "questionable" bunch to bushfire, cancer and suicide. I've not been able to meet the right people (or any really, for that matter)... apart from peeps I help with audio-tech issues in forums and those I've met playing GT6, few of whom reside in my country, let alone nearby.

So, great idea, but alas, without a PC or access to one, it's a no-can-do situation. I can't for the life of me understand why Logitech doesn't simply make a Mac version. Given the simplicity of the app (I assume), you'd think it'd be an afternoon's work for a coder who knew what he was doing.

Nevertheless, given the popularity of the G29, I'm going to assume that PD will increase the level of support for it in terms of adjustability and configurability. To paraphrase Princess Leia, "Polyphony Digital, you're my only hope...".

Luckily for you, they already have released a Mac version. Its on the logitech website!

The very latest version of the Logitech Gaming Software no longer has the option to set the rotation, but there is firmware in the G29 that can be upgraded, so if you've had yours for a while, could be worth the trouble.

Good to know it worked for you!
I have not yet switched on the pedal adjustments, and knowing that it worked for you, maybe more people can solve this annoying problem.
No one deserves drive cars with "steering wheels of trucks"!

My feelings for your friends!

As far as compatibility with Macs is concerned, it seems SnowLeopard has found a way to solve this problem ... Maybe it's worth a try!

Thank you for your empathy, Barboosa.

A "Yay! Nooo!" story:

Luckily for you, they already have released a Mac version. Its on the logitech website!
Yay!

Nooo!

I don't have the wheel yet; this is why I'm trying to make sure I'll be able to use my preferred low-DoR setting in an attempt to mimic my original Driving Force™ wheel, which had 180º IIRC. Thank you, SnowLeopard.
I downloaded it today and it has?
Yay!

Thank you, Jmyguk.

Well, I've no way to test it 'cause I don't have the wheel. Is anyone else able to confirm whether or not the DoR setting for the G29 can be adjusted using the Mac software, and whether or not it "sticks" once used in GTS?

Hello everyone,

first i have to say i dont know is it broken or just a ingame bug ?
my problem is since 4 days, the t80 wheel lost the connection to my ps4
under a race, mostly in qualifying.

anyone else have this problem ?

greez
